This weekend I found a lesion on Chilie's chest.  At first, I thought it was one of her teats enlarged a little, but then I noticed it was something else.  And I don't know if it's my imagination, but I think it has gotten bigger.  It doesn't seem to bother her when I touch it or anything, and her behavior seems normal as well.  I have scheduled a vet appointment for her today at 5:30.  I hope it is nothing serious, but if you could send some positive rays our way, they would be appreciated.  I'll update tonight after the appointment.

Yes please let us know i HATE this kind of stuff. You can worry yourself to death, the vast majority of the time it turns out to be nothing but it always feels good to hear it confirmed by a vet. I'm sure it will be fine Beth, let us know.

It is not red or bleeding.  It is black and looks like a leathery mole.  I wish I didn't have to wait until the end of the day, but it's nerve racking enough to go to the vet with just Chilie.  It would be too hard to bring Lara along too, so I just have to wait for DH to get home from work.

I hope this is nothing serious!  Let us know what the vet says!

How big is it? And is it raised like a mole or under the skin more? Do you have an idea how long it took to get there, when was the last time you were sure it wasn't there? I went through the lump scare this summer with Hallie, they can get so many lumps and bumps of all kinds, most of them are nothing to worry about. Hang in there. Amy's Owen had a real scary looking one recently too and it turned out to be fine.
