Patches here had a bad day today gots three shots same amount as Buddy gots not fair I weighs 13.6 # Buddy weighs 90.6 # hows comes we gets the same amounts in our shots ? I's little I should gets less right fellow Doxies . I's thinks somethings up Momma fed me early then I gots a part of a cookie when buddy gots fed. Momma said somethings about me's getting my toothies cleaned in the morning. The vet guy told my Momma he would not have to do too much since my toothies are pretty clean.Wish me luck tomorrow.
The vets guy said Buddy may need his toothies cleaned too he has a owie on his gum she wants to try giving him a Raw Turkey neck to clean his teeth first His dental would be $108.00 + $44.00.,Momma spended over $500.00 todays on us gettings Heart worm s pills all our shots she has that Care Credit card for usnow. When Daddy broked his neck Momma had to drop our Pet insurance but she kept the care Credit card you can use it at vets people teeth and people eye stuff even Plastic Surgery.Momma will have to get tis paid off before next year so we can do it all again next year.

Hope your toofies are sparkling, Patches!  OWIE on the shots.  Wow!  Your dentals are CHEAP!  Here in CA, they really soak ya ($400 or more).  Patches and Buddy, hope you milked it for soft treats from your hooparents.

Poor baby not a good week for Patches OR Buddy! We'll be thinking good thoughts for you, I've never taken a dog-child in for teeth cleaning so don't know what they charge here. Hope you and your mom's pocket book both recovery quickly. Check in!

Patches here I sorta goofed up Momma was cooking dinner she gave me a bite of chicken she had her hand hanging down so I nibbled her fingers thinking she was going to give me more chicken.Well I was starving all I got when I got home was 2 cookies,the chicken and a little more chicken. I did get dinner dog food its little,a spoon of canned food,chicken and a spoon of Pumpkin.
Bought Buddy a Turkey neck $1.22 gave him the turkey neck all he did is lick it  ? carry it around chewed on it a tiny bit,then he started looking for a place to hide it. I went out put it in a plastic bag then another plastic bag put it in the freezer. Looks like I will be adding to the care credit card getting him a dental too did not think big dogs needed a dental my two Bouvier s never did. ? Going to the poor house I guess.

Ummmm that dental bill is really cheap. Parker's cleaning, and 8 extractions was over $800.00. The pet insurance paid about $350.00. We were on the hook for the rest.
Parker's vet bills usually run about $3,000 a year. That's shots, heartworm, teeth cleaning and there is always one intestinal/vommitting emergency visit a year.

I probably shouldn't mention I spent over $6000 in 5 days in April when we flew her to Iowa State for her eyes. And she came home the same way she went!  (will never forgive that guy for being out of town for 3 weeks!). I've never gotten insurance because as I understood it, they would only cover so much per problem, like neurological, gastrointestinal, etc  (is that still right?) And I figured if you had a doxie with a back problem (and who doesn't) what they covered wouldn't be worth the price of insurance.

I did have Pet Insurance on both dogs because I do not work any more and I'm on Disability, then when my husband fell in the house and broke his neck and no longer could work I had to drop the pet Insurance but kept the Care Credit just for the dogs. Now both of us are on Disability so try to find the best deals at the vets.

How does the Care Credit work?

Care Credit is a credit card it can only be used for veterinarians ,human plastic surgery,human dentist & eye doctors I believe. You can not take it out and buy clothes, or other items.The first 6 months you have a low interest rate I think I have had mine for a few years now so do not remember all of the particulars to it I usually do not pay that much attention to that stuff just pay it off keep it to the next time I need it.It is not as good as having Pet insurance but if I did not have the Care Credit card I could not keep Buddy,big dogs cost allot more to have.I have always had a fear of sleeping at night of someone coming in the house so always have had a big dog. I have no idea why I feel this way but I do.

It's scary, I know, but you 2 will be fine. Nothing worse than taking a dog that feels fine to the vet to be put under. I had to do that with Gretchen last month - happy to report she has sparkling teefies now. At 12, she still has all her teeth.
