Parker is not getting better. It's been almost 5 days that he has not eaten. I am giving him water with a syringe and forcing pills. We have been to the vets to give him shots (thank goodness) and IV fluids on Sunday and yesterday.
Well yesterday I was straightening up the couch and moved a cushion. What do I find but all his pills. I thought I was forcing his pills but apparently the sneakie little critter was spitting them out and hiding them under the cushion. I even watched him to make sure he wasn't spitting them out and when I thought he had chocked them down I would go into the kitchen and rinse the syringe.
Today he seems a little better, and I am going to tell the vet on that little bugger hiding his pills. I think all his meds are going to need to be injected now.
His silliness has cost me over $1,000. (We have pet insurance thank goodness).

dis is Parker: Momma is mean to me and I don't wik da dr cause he is mean too. Dey is pokin me and I has to stay dere all day wif needles stickin out of my leg. I don't wik da food dey are gibben me - it's not tastie so I am not gonna eat it. Pwese send cheese, eggies and chicken and a bus tickets to gets me outta dis town an away from des meanies!!!!I would wun away but I'm feelin a wittle weak wight now.

little stinker is right.

I can only force pills in a cat--you could try this IF HE IS A GOOD BOY and won't rip yer arm off or clamp his teeth together.

Take yer left hand and put your fingers over the dog's eyes & face, stick yer thumb in his jaw (on his right)   Lick your right hand index finger so you the pill will stick to the tip and jam yer finger as far down the throat as you can.

I use one of these, and wouldn't be without one ever again.

It shoots the pill to the back of the dog or cats through and then you hold their jaws closed and rub their throats until the swallow reflect kicks in.  Voila, no more pills spit up.  Plus, if you have cats, no more bitten fingers from trying to put it back there yourself!

all we can say is Parker Parker Parker, don't spit them out as the sooner ya get betta da sooner ya get back to normal fooodiiies.

Have you tried Peanut butter might work hope you can work something out also have you tried Nutri -Cal its in a tube like toothpaste has allot of stuff in it that will usually get a dog to eat also will keep them going until they start eating its very bland. Gizmo my old Papillon had Esophageal Reflux disease that is what I used to keep her going. I also used Pedilite to keep her electrolytes going too kept her from getting IV's at the vets. She lived till 14 & 1/2 years old then Alzheimer's got her. Good Luck to Parker Rays & Hugs to you both Get well soon Parker.

LOL if Tris could see better that would be a fine trick. However, I am lucky that he has such trust in his mummy (oh the shame) as every morning and night I call him to have a special sweetie that Ivy isn't allowed. He sits like a little angel for me eagerly waiting for his treat before they get fed. I used to put his tablet into his food but he would eat around it or spit it out.....but he does love the thought of getting something special...

Porky is a master of that trick as well!!  One thing that seems to work really well for him is getting a small glob of organic peanut butter and hiding the pill in the middle.  Porky is so excited to get his favorite treat, he gulps it down (pill and all) without noticing I hid a surprise in there.   I have tried the pill pockets, hiding it in his food, forcing it down, and peanut butter is the only thing that worked!!    Good luck.  I sure hope Parker feels better soon!!!!!
