Its just the start of November and we have had the 4th of days about 30 C which is unusual, and another 3-4 on the way. So this morning I decided to take the dynamic dou
for a walk before it heated up, Nick does not like me walking them on our road even though it is in the bush, the 10 or so cars drive it like a race course, so I took them to the river, well I picked madam up, set her down the leaned in and got the leashes. When I closed the door Amy started squealling,  I had either stood on her tail or some of the fluff had got caught in the door and her tail may have been pulled a little. Remember this is a DRAMA QUEEN....................... show her a brush and it squeals, I felt along the tail no breaks and she let me do it, plus she could wag it. Took them home and gave her medacalm and it seems to be working OK, but I'll keep an eye on it

THEN this afternoon we were out in my workroom they were sleeping and I was plugged into my audio book, when a melee broke out, a bird had flown in and missie mooooo who 6 hours ago was squealing like a banshee, was the same again but with delight the chase was on, Oliver was doing leaps and jumps of the sofa up the wall. The poor thing was trying to get out through the flyscreen. So I put them in the other room and managed the flywire of the window and after about 10 mins of shooshing I got it out. You might wonder how it got in, but as you all know it is a pain being a door opener to dachies so I just leave it open. When I let them out the post mortum was on, now all I have to do is try and manage the screen on again, they were pains when we first fitted them.
So I now think they have had enough exercise for the day and are flat out on the tiles.

Sounds like they had a blast trying to get the birdie.  Glad you got him out and all is well again.  Nothing like a little excitement to break up a day. :doah:

Handle every "Situation" like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
tinkle on it and walk away.

Hee hee nice try for the guys to shoosh the bird, hope you could find some play for them to practice their hunting instinct indoor or on the yard.
