Yes we are OK. Sat was a day from hell here, we reached 46.4 C and it was our first open house. We managed to keep the house cool, so the monsters were OK except we had to tie the laundry door to another ot stop Oliver openning it "to have a look" outside, last night was the first time in a week we slept without air on. We get normally 1 hot day then we go down again for a while but this year we had 6 days above 35 C then Sat. Our ususal feb temps are mid 20's. Then on Sun it was 19C go figure.
Two towns have been wiped off the map and at present 131 people have died, mostly from leaving it to late to leave. The areas are very wooded, and the houses are built among the tree's, most say it was fire balls. Then we had bad thunderstorms which triggered a few more spot fires. Going outside on Sat was like walking into a furness. The weather is coller for the next week two of the biggest fires will be burning they say for weeks, and they were set by arsonists...........a murder charge would be to good for them if they catch them.
We are going up to our other place this weekend to do some grass cutting and gutter clearing just in case, the nearest on to up there is about 2oo km away and at present going North. Mind you some of the fires did get close to our power supply lines and the suburbs to the  north of the city
Many thanks for your thoughts, mine go to the people who have lost everything, it is humbling that alll just wanted to see that their family was all there.
God bless and keep them all. Our Gov state and federal are at least for once on the same page.

Oh, Roberta, I'm so sorry for the number of lives lost. We so often have the fires that rage here in the US in California, but we rarely have anywhere near that number of lives lost from them. As the wife of a firefighter, I will be praying for the families of the victims of the fires and the families of the ones who are fighting them and that all will be safe.
I hope the weather stays cooler for you as you continue to try to sell your house. At least anyone who saw it on Saturday was able to see that it could be kept cool, even the hottest of weather!

Roberta, we are so glad you are safe.  My heart goes out to all of those affected by these wildfires.  I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.  Also praying for cooler temperatures and some rain.

Glad your Open House went well and I hope that it will generate an offer or two.

Take care and stay safe.

Glad to hear you are OK. I've been wondering about you also. We don't have that problem here in Texas, so I can only imagine what you're going through. Again, very glad to hear you haven't been affected.

we´re so glad you´re o.k.  Didn´t know how far you were from the wildfires.  Such a tragedy for all involved.
Good luck on selling your home, hope the prices are holding better in Oz than in Scotland and Spain.
