Da stinky neighbors.....

....literally!!! We are apposed to hab our mommies and daddies pick up after we take a poo in da lawn. Howeber, appawently, my mama is da onwy one dat does it.

Wez got a letter fwom our landlord asking that we tack on an extra $50 for poo clean-up! We agree dat she should NEVER have to clean up after someone else's dog poo. It stinks dat we hafta pay because she can't pinpoint who is and isn't picking up after dere dog.

Seriously, dere is so much poo out dere its disgusting!!!
We are weally fwustwated dat we had to pay $50 when we have been cleaning up eberytime!!! We aren't angwy at dat landlord, she's just trying to be fair. I wish we could jus' write a fwiendly note suggesting to our neighbor's how easy it is to pick up if you do it eberytime and da heaf risks to us doggies when dere is poo laying around. Not to mention da little boys dat pway in da yard! :crazyeyes:

Aside fwom dis issue, our neighbors are great!! Dey are berry nice. Iz keep habing to go potty at da same time as dis pwetty Shih-Tzu dat libs downstairs. She gets letted out by herself, her owner doesn't eben watch her!!! :crazyeyes: So, me and mama keep an eye on her when wez out dere. She is a sweetheart too, she didn't eben know us and camed up and kissed my mama's hand.

Wez don't know her name yet eidder, her owner jus calls her "dog!"

Well, I gots a peanut butter kong to finish.....

P.S. My mama and daddy hab da flu so dey could use da rays. I fink mama will be mad when she finds out i shredded dat potholder, oh and da blanket, oh....and dat sock.

I'm twying to be good, but i gets bored when I don't get my walkies.

Okay, Porky, we are sending rays to your Mom and Dad. They need to get better real quick before you shred anymore things. That is so sad that there are people who don't pick up after their furkids. It's just too bad the landlord doesn't know exactly who is responsible for the mess and make them pay the extra money each month.

dis is Parker: you has to be goods while your Mommy and Daddy is under the weather. You cans come to my house. I has oven mitts hidden under the couch, and a sock behind Daddy's chair. I also founds a toy that I think used to belong to Eddie (he's the doggie that used to live here before he died and then Mamma and Daddy's got me). If you is good you gets more tweets when they is feeling betters.
Alsos, twy and be a detectives and see ho is pooping on the lawn. is not polite to not cleans up. My mamma always tidies up after me, and if she forgets, I cleans it up. Ims a member of PEA. Momma says that's gwoss, but I just like things to be tidy.

Porky you sound like a very good dog, and so do the humans you have, for picking up the poopies. Take good care of those humans, they need extra TLC when they have the flu.

Porky here: Daddy feels bedda and went back to werk today. Mama can't seem to shake da flu just yet, but she feels lots bedda den yestaday. All she said about dat shredded stuff was, "oh Porky!" so I knows she felt yucky. We can't pinpoint da poos to any ONE neighbor. All of them wif dogs are doing it. Its gwoss! We eben found a BIG poo, bigger den Jade could make! Now tell me, do you fink dat dog is 25 pounds or less?! Dats what da limit is apposed to be.

Mama's gwad all you fought dis was gwoss too! She was beginning to fink she was da onwy one left dat knows how important it is to keep da potty area cwean. And Parker, I am a member of PEA too!!! Dats why my mama hates it so much to take me in a poo infested yard. Who knows what dose odder dogs eat or iffen dey hab worms or somefing.

We are talking to da landlord about it and she is habing da coppers watch and ticket anyone not cweaning up abter dere dog. :apls:

We wish it could be done in an easier way, but she tried asking nicely and gibing a fine to eberybody and it hasn't been working. Den she'll hab a wecord of who to watch and she can make da fines onwy for dat person instead of da whole area. :apls:

Does you apartment have security cameras might be able to add one to cover the potty area ? maybe post the law about picking up their dogs poo ? almost every city has a poop pick up law. If people do not follow the law usually what happens is the owner of the apartments gets fed up with the few that do not do what they are suppose too.Then up goes the signs NO DOGS ALLOWED you might talk to the other dog owners and say that is what happened at the last place you lived. Sometimes it helps to stretch the truth. Good Luck in finding the lazy person.

Maybe there's another way to think about this. You could be part of the solution. You're already not part of the problem, because you clean up after the Porkmeister has performed his toilette.

How about putting up a sign where dog walkers could see it. Make it out of poster board ($.99 at the drug stores) and permanent marker. How's this:

Dear fellow dog owners:

I hope you all appreciate as much as I do living in an apartment complex that welcomes pets. We all need to do our share by picking up after our dogs. Let's all pitch in and help. Thanks.

And you could leave six or eight plastic bags weighted down with a rock. I bet it would help.

A condo complex near me has these metal poles with plastic bags attached for people to use and a sign thanking them for cleaning up after their dogs. It seems to do the trick.

One other suggestion is to use like a large cool whip container or ice cream bucket and cut an opening in it on the side and put a bunch of bags in it. Also helps if there is a can to dispose of the bags right there. We put these around where dogs are walked at our dog shows and it does help. We even take the equipment for cleanup and bucket to the motels that allow dogs and they are much happier since we have done that.
