It snowed all night and is still snowing.....we have gotten 15 inches of snow overnight.......and still coming! The prediction is 20-25 inches of snow by 4 pm tonight. That's a heck of a lot of snow in a 24 hour period.  The decks are full....I just shoveled a "path" for the boys in the back.  The top deck (out the door and where the boys' ramp is) is shoveled, the base of the ramp and a path are shoveled to the next ramp and a small space for now is shoveled for them to do their business.  I'll clear more later for them.  I did take some pics of the back and the front of the house.  When I walked out, the snow was up to my knees....makes walking a trick.  It's going to be a full day of clearing snow so more can fall and we can clear again!  I'll post pics later!  Stay warm.....I know we are not going anywhere today!  There was an event that we were going to tonight, but we have canceled that trip.....I do not want to be out driving in this stuff, at least not right now.

The boys took one look and their expression was WHOA!  Sarge did fine, he loves snow but I think this is a bit much for him.  He doesn't venture off the path......right now he can't, he'd disappear!  Duggie wants nothing to do with the snow.  Auntie Terri, Duggie wants to know if he can come to your house where it's warm.....just until the snow goes away!  Sarge wants to play with Duggie in the snow and Duggie says no way!

Here are some pics:  The first one with Sarge & Duggie at the window was taken yesterday.  The rest are from this morning......

Wowee is right!  Goodness.  We've only gotten a few inches at a time here, and all it's doing is making my doggies ultra frisky.  They're running around like crazy every time they go outside.  Poor Duggie-he's going to have a long winter.

Handle every "Situation" like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
tinkle on it and walk away.

Wow, that's a lot of snow.  I'm glad it's not here.  I, too, would have to shovel a path for the furkids.  All three hate the snow.  Stay safe and warm indoors.

About an hour ago, it finally quit snowing.......we broke a record......28 inches in 24 hours.  The town became deserted as almost everything was closed.  The snow plow came and plowed our road....I'll have to take a picture tomorrow.....there are hills of snow everywhere....in the middle of the culdesac, on the sides......everywhere!  I ventured out to the yard and the snow hit me at my waist....just a little deep!

Aw, dang, I spoke too soon!  It has started to snow again..........somebody needs to find that faucet and turn it off!

That is just unbelievable!!!!! At least you guys can hunker down and don't have to drive in it. Well, come to think of it, driving is probably impossible.  I always wonder how 24/7 facilities (hospitals, police, etc) continue to function in weather like this.

Hey Sarge -

Carrying around a little "junk in the trunk?"  Stay off the eggnog, son, it'll ruin your figure!

Cool!  We've never seen snow like this in all our life!  And Sargey and Duggie seems all interrested in what's happening outside.
What do you guys do to get to work when the snow is this thick?
I dunno what the hounds will do with this snow, because when 1 drop or rain falls on the roof, they don't move from under the covers, especially Simson.
Jessie will sit and watch the rain with me sometimes, and heino cna't decide what to do with it.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Lauri!  It's so good to hear from you!  Sarge generally loves to be in the snow but right now there is just too much for him.  Duggie does not like the snow and yesterday morning, he fell into a snow bank.  The snow is so deep that it is right up to the edge of the deck.  I go out with them in this stuff and when I told him he wa getting too close to the edge, he didn't listen and in he went.  I "plucked" Duggie out.....and his look told me, "enough is enough!"  We have a total of 32 inches of snow right now and it's snowing again today.  Last Thursday, everything was shut down as no one could get around much except for four wheel drives.  At one point they closed all the roads going up the southside of town.  The only way you could go was if you had a four wheel drive and chains---the hills were so bad and then only two of the roads were open.  On Friday, some businesses were open but not a lot.  We are use to having winter weather and snow and generally everyone gets around okay....last week was an exception.    One benefit of this year, is that since I am retired (as of June), I don't need to worry about the commute to work and Dave is retired also, so no worry for him.  When I did have the commute and it was really snow, it meant planning on a two hour plus trip to and from work......for which in dry weather was a 45 minute drive.  It would just all depend on the roads.  On Wednesday night (last week), for my son-in-law to get home....what was normally a 15 minute drive, took him two hours to get home.  Traffic was at a crawl and all the downtown streets were backed up.......people were getting stuck everywhere.
