Sounds like you aren't alone Tara LOL. I haven't gotten all of mine out either yet because my computer died and many of the addresses were in the dang thing...also I didn't get the list from Patty because I lost all emails during that time so I will also be late and now we are snowed in whoo! We cancelled our family Christmas because of the snow, my nephew said gosh no Christmas in 2008, I said yes but we get TWO in 2009!  :thumb:

Hey DeeDee, want some more snow?  I'll be glad to send some from the Eastern side of the state!  Last week (started Wednesday night and through Thursday) it snowed for 24 hours straight -- we broke a record for snow .....got 28 inches in 24 hours! For the first time in a long time, Spokane and the surrounding area was shut completely down on Thursday and several were still closed on Friday.  We were snowed in until late Thursday night when they plowed our road (private road). I went to the grocery store on Friday.  We are only going out if necessary.  I will need to go to shop for groceries on Wednesday but I plan to go early in the morning.  Friday was just way to hectic in the store to get everything.   We have snow banks all over the place......and it's snowing and the wind is blowing again today.  It's suppose to snow today and then start again on Christmas Eve through Christmas Day.  I have two puppers who are not happy campers!  This morning Duggie misjudged where the deck ended and fell into a snow bank!  He was NOT a happy pupper!  With this weather, I am going out with both of them when they go out, so he was "plucked" up real quick by Mom!  There are snow mounds everywhere.....we're running out of room to put snow!

OMG Dee!! I have been hearing about you guys on the news but had no idea it was that bad! I feel lucky! 28 inches?? That is insane. What happened to global warming? I just hope all this stuff doesn't melt all at once, we'll all have some major flooding.

LOL sorry to laugh Duggie but now that we know you are ok...that is quite a visual. I'll bet there was one surprised Duggie sitting in the snow bank. I have a covered potty house for Hallie on the lawn, so she has bare lawn to potty on but I too have to go out with her, carry her out to the house and back in, with the snow over it it now looks like an igloo I have to clear the hole to the door to put her in. I always have a blanket warming in the dryer for when we come in.

I don't remember having snow this deep ever, I can't even imagine what 28" would be like! Especially since when we were there it was sunny and you had a perfectly groomed green lawn! You and Dave and the doxies stay warm. Have you got your new carpet yet?

DeeDee, Had I had any idea on the amount of snow we were going to get, I would have built something for the puppers.  But, it's too late now.   It's kinda like, lawn......what lawn?????  So, I keep the deck and an area off the deck clear for them.  I've included some pictures taken this morning of the house.  The first two are the front and then I took one from the gate looking towards the deck...on the lower right, in between the mounds of snow is a small area for the dogs.  In this last picture, the snow mound on the right, is up to the very top of the fence which is 42 inches high.  On the other side of the backyard where the fence is, the snow is 3/4 of the way to the top (fence 42" high) and that hasn't been touched.  The deck is wood and since we are going to replace it this coming spring, if they go potty on the deck, it's okay.  I clean up after them....but that way, it is not so far for them to go.  Today, the temps are pretty frigid with the wind blowing, and they go very quickly.  When Sarge goes out, Duggie will follow him....first one goes, and runs for the door and the other is not far behind!  We also had the roof shoveled off yesterday because the snow was so high on the roof......with the blowing wind from the earlier storm, the snow from the northside of the roof, was on the southside.   Our cul-de-sac has turned into a one-way narrow drive area.....There are mounds of snow on the sides and a huge mound of snow in the center.  Literally, only one car can get around the circle.

We did get the new carpeting in -- the end of October and the new furniture came in the first week of November.  I love the carpeting---it very "cushy"......the puppers like it too!

Here are the pics.....stay warm and dry!

Good grief that snow is up to your window and about higher than your car! I would rush in from pottying too if I were the boys, brrrr!!!! Just think of all the pupper out there who don't have such good parents...I just hate to think how stupid some people can get in this weather with their animals.

I'm so glad you got your carpet and new furniture I'll bet it looks great! Something to enjoy while sitting in there during this weather! Lets hope it warms up soon so we can get back to our regular scheduled program.  :thumb:
