Mimi - 9/28/08

It is with a heavy heart that I write this post. Mel called me this morning. Apparently the improvement with Mimi's condition was only temporary. She has been in terrible pain and nothing is giving her relief. Mel indicated she could not let Mimi go on this way and they were waiting for the Vet to come and they were going to help Mimi go to Rainbow Bridge. If I hear from Mel later today I will let you all know. Please keep Mel, Scott and Mimi in your thoughts and prayers. Tuttle and Carson too. Cheryl

Oh Cheryl, I am stunned...... tears are flowing...I feel so badly for Mel. What a good friend you are to keep in such close contact - and thank you so much for keeping us posted...... We all eventually have to go, our bodies just give out.... but that does not make it one little bit easier.... today is a sad day.....

I am so sorry to read this. I was feeling so hopeful after the latest updates. I'm glad they had a few days of Mimi feeling better before sending her to Rainbow Bridge where she will wait for them to join her one day. My thoughts and prayers will be with them all this afternoon and over the next few days and weeks as they have this huge empty space in their hearts.

I heard from Mel this afternoon. She was trying to get ahold of her mother to tell her about Mimi. She is taking it pretty hard. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers. Mel will post in a few days when she is able. If I hear anything else I will let you all know. God Speed Mimi Angel

God-Speed, Mimi-Angel -- Our hearts are saddened but there will always be a memory and special place in your heart for Mimi-Angel. Know that she will be watching over you. Mimi is now pain-free and romping with all our doxie-angels waiting for the time that we will all be reunited at the Rainbow Bridge. Mel, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. It will be a year on October 3, that we helped Looie-Angel to the Bridge. It is so very hard to do but to end their pain, it is the most loving decision you could make to help her. It will always tug at your heart but the sorrow that fills you now will ease in time. You will always have the loving memories of Mimi in your heart. We are so sorry to hear that things got worse again with Mimi. Sure hoped they had found a solution to her problems.
Sending HHHHHHH's & PPPPPPP's to Mel and the rest of Mimi's family. I know she is waiting patiently for you at the bridge pain free and having lots of fun with the others who are there already.

I want to thank everyone for their support and prayers. This is the hardest thing that I have had to do but we had to do it for Mimi. When I can type with out crying hysterically I will write more. Thanks again everyone.

Oh that is so sad! Mimi will be missed so much! Mel, You were so brave for making the choice to let her go, that is the hardest decision to have to make.

Please take all the time you need to grieve and we will see you when you get back.

So sorry to hear this. I'm almost at a lose for words, I'm all to familiar with the pain that goes along with losing a fur baby. Helping Simon-Angel to the Bridge was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but it was the right thing to do. You gave Mimi a good life and when nothing could help you gave her a dignified way out. When your turn comes you won't get no where near the same consideration that Mimi got.
