Yesterday's Day Trip to Rockland

Yesterday I had a lighthouse group meeting in Rockland, so we decided to take a day trip to the Mid-coast Maine area. Here are some photos!

We stopped here at the Fort Point Lighthouse in Stockton Springs, Maine.

Looks like Baby James likes it!

Next a stop at the Owl's Head Lighthouse.

OUCH!!! James pulls Mommy's hair!

Great pictures, Paul. What is a "lighthouse group"? Is it a preservation group? Thanks for sharing your trips with us. I would love to see those lighthouses in person.

I am involved in different lighthouse preservation groups, this one was for the Friends of the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse. I am in charge of a lighthouse event and we have monthly meetings in Rockland.

Beautiful pictures thanks for sharing. I love lighthouses also but I loved the pictures of the baby the most he is so darn cute what a doll.

Ooooh! Lighthouses!! We love 'em and have been watching the PBS series done some years back on a lot of lighthouses. Just finished up Alaska and Hawaii. Wonderful pictures, indeed.

Mark and I are heading off for a vacation in a couple of weeks and one of the places we are going to stay is a Hostel at the Montara Point Light. We get to stay in the foghorn room. We were also going to stay at Pigeon Point, which is also a Hostel, but it is booked for the whole rest of the year. Both of these areas are 25 and 50 miles south of SF.
