roll call?

I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, but I'll ask anyway! Would everyone sign in and introduce themselves? For those of you I don't know yet it'll give me an idea about you and your pups and for those of you I do remember I'd love to hear what is going on and how old your pups are now! I'll go first.

I have Cajsa (aka bat dog or goat dog) and Gretchen (aka Gretchie or little tank). They are littermates and are 5 1/2 year old red smoothies! Cajsa had back surgery about 2 1/2 years ago but is back to her normal perky, playful self. Rarely a hitch and Gretch is my strong furbaby. I don't think she's ever been sick - hence the nickname tank!

Hi, April. I am Cheryl Anderson and I have Zoe and Winston who are half brother and sister. They are two red smooth tweenies. Zoe is 5 yrs 9 mths old and Winston is 4 1/2 years old. Zoe had her back surgery two years ago in August. She is back to 100 percent now, I am happy to say. We live in Cincinnati, Ohio real close to the Ohio River and the Indiana border. Our situations sound very similar.

I'm Teresa. I have Schatzi, who will be 5 in November and Molly, an English Bulldog who is 8. We live in Greenville, SC with my husband Randy and my daughter Meghan who is currently in grad school working on her Masters in Social work. I joined the board in January 2004, when you had just found out you were pregnant with Elf. I'm trying to remember who gave Elf her name. Was it Sue? I had to laugh at Karen's response the other night to all the names and the confusion. Not many people have a child named Elf (and I"m determined to remember her given name, it'll just take me a little while!).

Morgan is her given name, but Elf was her nickname from before she was born. It came from the initials she would have had if we'd named her Erin like we'd talked about. But we decided it would be bad to give her those initials since they were "Elf" and she'd probably get teased. Of course it kind of defeated the purposed when we started calling her that anyway... lol

We´ve been MIA for a good while too:
Andrea in Altea, Mediterranean coast of Spain, besotted Mum to Red, miniature teckel roan pinwire who will be 6 on 21st October and also to our little Princess, Islay, Kaninchenteckel mahogany long hair who was 5 yesterday, 11th September. Miguel is just as besotted as I am and our only regret is having to stop at just two.....
Can´t believe how Elf, Cajsa and gretchen have grown up so quickly! Guess we´re all a little older...look forward to seeing some piccies sometime.

Hi I'm jill we live in Annapolis Md and Chincoteague Va I have an oldd man who is a mix of a wire hair and a pug Killian who is 9 soon to be 10 in Nov. my twins Vivienne & Lulu who are 18 months! they are red smooth mini's 7 and 9 lbs respectivly and Pud E Tat hopefully no explanation needed! We RELY on Karen to make us laugh EVERY day!!!!

Cajsa insists DLF is better (Dachsie Liberation Front) but she knows who Elf is and accepts it! I hadn't even thought of Earth Liberation Front, Cajsa is the rebel here. Gretchen is the muscle!

Ru is 8 and Bran is 12. Just posted a couple pics under the Foto Friday thread.

They are saying we will get a lot of rain this weekend in the Dallas area..... but Houston (several hundred miles south of us) will bear the brunt. I planned to stay in most of the week end anyway - so will get busy tonight doing chores and then relax the week end away with the puppers !!!!

Are ya gonna get us some pics of your girls, huh, huh, huh...

HI! I am Mel and I have Mimi, Tuttle, and Carson. All minis. Mimi is red/black smooth and we think she is about 12 or 13. And both Tuttle and Carson are black/tan smooth. Tuttle is 3 years and Carson is 2 years. We live south of Omaha Nebraska. Go HUSKERS!!!

Hi April, it's good to hear from you. I am, Annie, from New Jersey and Mom to Oscar, 10 year old silver dapple smooth; Bonita, 13 year old red smooth; and Trooper, 8 year old B&T smooth. Missing from the Gang are Daisy-Angel and Missy-Angel.

I remember when we were all trying to guess Elf's date & time of birth. Sure would love to see a picture.
