UPDATE: could use a few rays for my Brandy

I noticed that she was favoring her back right paw on our walk this morning and inspected it when we got home.  It looks and feels swollen.  Hindsight - she was licking it a lot yesterday, but I didn't think anything of it.  I bet it was sore yesterday too.  Have an appt to have the vet take a look this afternoon.

My baby girl could use your good thoughts !

UPDATE:
Well Bran-Bran has an abcess in her foot.  Dr. C said she probably stepped on a sticker or something a week to 2 weeks ago and it is just now festering up.  I feel so badly - but there were no signs of anything until yesterday.  He gave her a shot of penicillin (sp?) to get it in her system and then I have to take her in the morning so they can lance it.  My poor baby .....  She will most likely have to wear a cone so she doesn't bother it, since she has been licking it yesterday and today.

Need your thoughts - should I pen her up?  Or crate her?  Normally she and Rudy have the living room, kitchen and doggie door during the day.  The one main thing I will check is that the cone will or won't fit through the doggie door.  If I decide to leave them loose and there is any chance of her getting caught, I will keep the door shut.  I am debating about putting an x-pen in the dining room and keeping both of them in it.  I will then have my dog walker come in mid day and let them out.   What are your thoughts?

Just asking for a few more rays for tomorrow morning - they won't put her under, will just sedate her.  They said I would be able to come get her early afternoon.  A few rays for Rudy too - it has been a while since he has been by himself.
