I passed the initial screening and am excited about the prospect of getting the position.  I of course don't have it yet, but I REALLY want it!  It is a job with the state forensic lab doing testing on evidence for various investigations.  Wish me luck that I get an interview then get the position.

I'm hoping to hear something by next Friday since they are notifying people by mail.  I've not heard anything yet but I'm hopeful and excited.

Yep.  I'm a biology person and specifically enjoy the DNA/genetics stuff.  I'd love to work in a forensics lab and this is a rare opportunity since I've been looking (about 4 years) this is the first time I found one to apply for!  I'm still waiting but expect to hear something by this weekend if I'm going to so I"m still hopeful...

I just got word that I was missing one of the requirements for the position.  So I didn't get it, but that I was otherwise very qualified, I just have to figure out how I can take biochemistry to satisfy that requirement for next time.
