We've been seduced by the Dark Side and now have 3 cats.

Zora passed in 2017 at age 16.  Zeke passed just shy of his 17th birthday in May 2019.

We got our first cat, Minerva in September 2019.   She was a rescue, a former feral that was picked up in rural Virginia with a litter of three kittens.  The kittens were adopted out and we took Minnie.   Minnie has come a long way.   Minnie is a fluffy grey cat who is a mishmash of several different cat breeds.

We briefly had a second cat, Zeus, who we rescued from Baltimore County.  He was a TNR cat.  Unfortunately, he had a heart murmur that resulted in a sudden and unexpected passing after a few months.  Juno is your typical "cow cat"

Juno joined our family in November 2023 as a kitten.  She came out of a hoarding situation.  No idea what happened to her siblings.

Phoenix joined us in October 2024 as a kitten.  Phoenix part of a litter of 5 kittens that were surrendered to a rescue group.   We thought Phoenix was a "Phoebe" because he was so tiny and his danglies hadn't dropped.  When it came time for the spay, we learned he was a boy.  Phoenix is our mini-panther and the most sociable of the three.

Wow! I was just getting ready to wipe an old PC to install a linux os and I happen to open up the browser and I clicked on Wiener Writings in my bookmarks and saw that it's back!

Haven't had a doxie in the house since Simon passed,we've had a few visitors but none of our own.Now that both the wife and I are semi retired we now have more time on our hands to be able to devote to a new family member and we actually have a doxie rescue close by and after the end of the year will be looking to adopt.
