If someone used your name for thier dog?  I have always wanted to name a dog "Susie" even though I have, like 9,000 friends named Sue, Susan, Suzanna,Sue Bee, Suzie...
Shakespeare : "To thine own self be true."
Popeye:  "I yam wot I yam."

PattyInAK

Of course not.  I have always given my dogs "people" names.  And I like giving my horses foreign names that are not necessarily "names" -- Domingo, Domenica (Spanish and Italian for "Sunday").

Jacqueline

I would be flabbergasted if anyone named their dog Jacqueline  :2funny:

There are a lot named Jackie, but hey....I hate that name, and it's not me.

But no, if someone wants to name their pup Jacqueline....go for it.

Barb

Nope - I wouldn't be offended....although I can't imagine any one naming their dog Barb....HA !!!  Maybe Barbie for a cute petite little thing.....I have always wanted have a Katie......so if my next rescue doesn't have the right name...she may be a Katie !!!

Jenny G

Well - my middle name is Rebecca and I went by Becky my entire life until I got into college and started going by Jenny.  My dad recently remarried and adopted his wife's little girl and they got a huge rotweiller which they named Becky.  I wasn't too thrilled about that.

April

I wouldn't be bothered by someone naming their dog (or other pet) April.  I've never met a pet named April though, it somehow just doesn't seem like a pet name to me, but I wouldn't be bothered by it.
owned by Gretchen, Cajsa and an Elf!  My three girls!

Nikki

I have gotten over being offended by anyone naming their dog Nikki a long time ago.  Anyone out there remember the old Disney movie, "Nikki, Wild Dog of the North" made in 1961?  Well, (giving my age away) I was 5 when that came out, so I had to learn at a very young age not to let it bother me.  Now, I like it if someone has a dog with my name.  One of my employees has a dog named Nikki and my best friend used to have an Akita named Nikki.  Since I think that dogs are one of God's most perfect creatures, I consider it an honor to have the same name.  I also named Gabbe after a friend I had when I lived in Tampa.  She was originally from Germany and her name was Gabbe and I really like the name.  She always seemed to me the kind of person that would not have been offended by my naming Gabbe after her.  I think there was someone on the board for a while with a doxie named Nikki, but I could be wrong.

MindyKay

I wouldn't be insulted all.  However, I couldn't image anyone with a large dog naming her "Mindy" or "Mindi."
Luke Skywalker:  "I, I don't believe it!"  Yoda:  "That is why you fail."

Suzie

When I was 20, I had a German Shepard, very aloof and elegant, I named her Kate.  My mother had a good friend named Katie, she was somewhat put out that I had named a dog after her.  It came up in conversation...I had to tell her Kate was named after Katherine Hepburn.  She still didn't like it much. ;o{

I've never much liked my name, but if someone named their dog Suzie, I wouldn't be insulted at all!

I actually had a doxy named Suzie ......lo, those many years ago.  Her name was Miss Suzie T.  I would think that if you name your dog Suzie, and any of those 9000 friends should say anything, tell them how much you love the pup.....and them.
