Porky here: I hate pet stores!!!

Porky here: Momma took me shopping this weekend.  (To the pet store)  We usually dont get anything there we just like to get the puppies out of their cage and play with them in the little room for  awhile to give them a break.  Anyway...when we were there we saw a really tiny black and tan boy.  He was really cute, momma and I got him in the room to play and all he wanted to do was lay on momma's lap.  I tried to help him feel better by giving him licks, but he just seemed real sad and weak.  So...everybody who reads this... please do not support pet stores cause they amke cute puppies sad and sick.  Momma and I wanted to take him home and love him, but we also didnt want to support this business.  We are just  :pray:ing this little pup will be okay.

Did your mom ask the store manager about him? I'm sure she did. I just hope he gets okay, too. We have a small independent store in our area that I really like, but they, too, sell puppies. Even though I'm pretty sure they are quite picky about who they get their pups from, it still kills me to go in there and see them in their crates. A couple of weeks ago they had two double dapple pups, one long-hair and one short-hair. Schatzi almost had a new playmate, but I, too, didn't want to encourage the business of selling puppies in pet stores. At least their pups seem quite healthy and they get them out regulary, etc. I have a feeling your mom will be checking on the little guy quite regularly! She may decide she needs to rescue him after all. Its not his fault he's being sold there. It's just scary not knowing his health history.
