I just wanted to let everyone that of course I have the best Doxie in all the world!!! The only problem with her is that she is a puller and I'm afraid that she is going to hurt her neck. Can anyone tell me about harnesses for her?? I would appreciate it

Welcome to the board.

I like the Roman style harness by Lupine for Ellie

Gunner is a puller and I highly recomment the hug-a-dox, you can buy them at Dachshund Delights. I bought one for Gunner and Petunia but now make my own. They last forever, wash well etc.  Puppia also has a great harness and more reasonable than the hug-a-dox.

I use Puppia harnesses on Taffy and Daisy.  I get them for $20 at http://bowsawowsa.com/product_info.php?products_id=112.  I just got the new ones today in the mail.  Taffy is a mini, and she takes a small.  I should have gotten Daisy a medium, apparently, because I got her a small, too, ....must have mismeasured.  But the one Taffy was wearing was too big, and it was a medium and fits Daisy.  I will reorder a couple mediums for Daisy.  The sizes and measurements are on the webpage.

They are soft across the breast and neck, and don't hurt them if they pull against them like a collar would.  I am much happier with these than I was with the harnesses that I could get in the stores.  Taffy was chewing on the other harnesses but hasn't laid a tooth on these.

You can see her wearing hers at www.home.earthlink.net/~spoiledrottentaffy  There's a really good view on the pictures of me page.

Thank you very much for your help. I checked it out but I have to measure her first. Have to go to work today though. I also have another problem. When I go to work she goes to the bathroom in her crate. She sleeps with me so I guess she doesn't feel like that is her bed. I don't really mind since she doesn't go in the house as long as I'm there to watch her. She goes to the door now and growls. I'm gone for 7 hours so I guess she just can't help it. Wish I didn't have to work, but she gets all my attention when I come home. She's a spoiled brat!!! Well have to get ready for work. You have a good day.

Try putting her in a small bathroom with a baby gate, leave a radio on and but a peepee pad in there for her.
