So, I was wondering where everyone's pupper(s) sleep at night. Penny sleeps in her crate in our bedroom and refuses to sleep in the big bed with us...EVER  :dontknow:. If we try to get her to sleep with us all she wants to do is get off the bed and get in her crate.

with 3 of them, and my husband's unusual hours, it just got to be too much.  I found myself having no room to sleep and having puppers that wanted to go out at 2 a.m. just because "dad" was getting up to go to work.

Most of the time they sleep in a big crate together with lots of blankets to burrow under.  I put their crate in one of our spare bedrooms and shut the door at night, so when my hubby goes to work in the wee hours of the morning, they stay asleep, so I can too! ;)

Since his back problem earlier this Summer Eddie has slept in his crate.  The last few days I've tried to get him to sleep in the big bed, but he won't.

Sam sleeps in the big bed at the foot so he can guard against illegal entry by Cleo Kitty - Cleo does slip by my sentry every morning, but Sam does bite her tail as she sits on the window.

I have a bed space issue, I need a bigger bed.  Puppers all 4 sleep with me!  Even my son's "Moose", dog perfers to sleep on the big bed with Momma!  Grace must sleep next to the "Moose", or she doesn't settle in right!  They all keep watch out to make sure "Fluffy" the cat doesn't get on the bed.   Some nights, I have to find a way to squeeze in with them!   :thumb:

Cajsa definitely sleeps in the big bed with me.  She's even taken to sleeping by the Elf as long as there's not much moving!  It's kind of funny!

Chilie sleeps in her own bed....she has a chilly dog bed and LOVES it!  Though sometimes she misses us and sleeps with us in the big bed.

Stacey

My Daisy Mae is just like your Penny.  She will come into the big bed for a snooze before her real bedtime or to snooze in the morning after she's been outside, but at night once she gets real tired she will stand up in bed and just stare at her crate.  Once you put her near her crate she will literally jump in  :idiot:
Now Baily I'm not sure about since she is new.  We do have her sleeping in a crate, but I'm not sure if she would prefer the big bed or not  :dontknow:

Since Annie became sick, she's been sleeping in the big bed with us. Berman sleeps in his crate and is getting very good about going right in when he's ready for bed!

They sleep at night in a large soft bumper bed we got made to hold the three of them. Plus we like our own space so do they plus I don't like them jumping, and they tend to lie accross the bed.

The three girls sleep with me.  Max used to sleep with me, but about a month before I got Minna, he decided he wanted to sleep on his pillow.  I work evenings and we usually get up aroung 6am to go out and then, some times, Max will sleep with us for the next two to three hours before I get up for the day.  I don't know what prompted him to stop sleeping with the rest of us.  Maybe he gets to warm or he wants more room or he is just being a big boy.  :thinik:

Sometimes, like tonight, I can't sleep when I go to bed and I will toss and turn until I do fall asleep, so Sam usually gets annoyed at me and goes into the livingroom and sleeps on the couch.  Lately, however, I've been getting up and playing solitare until I get sleepy and so Sam does get his beauty sleep.

Our cat usually sleeps with me and has the same problem when I am restless! He gets so annoyed, usually bites me on the arm and then leaves!

Both mine sleep in bed with us.  Gabby is under the covers and Achilles is on our pillows.  :angel4:

The big bed.  Max is like a "dacshiemometer".   He usually goes under the covers unless it gets too warm, then he sleeps above the covers unless it gets too cold.   It's not uncommon for Max to switch places a half dozen times during the night.

Our bedroom sits over an unheated (and un-air conditioned) garage.  About 4 AM during the summer months, there is a temperature inversion where the warm air from the garage rises up into the bedroom.

Sandishooligans

Yeah, the hooligans sleep in the big bed.  Mark fondly calls them the double dachsie chastity belt.  And YES, they DO hog the bed.  Maddie once (all 10 pounds of her) literally pushed Mark out of bed! :2funny:

Mine sleep in the big bed, and since I don't want to disturb them I sometimes end up with a sore neck or back..lol..  :jaw: :bootyshake: :bootyshake:

That is just what Oscy does!  Buelah sleeps on top of the blankets with her little blanket.  I'm afraid that when Toby ( our new...hopefully rescue pupper) comes home we will have to finally break down and buy a king size bed. The queen is just not going to work with three!  :)

"the double dachsie chastity belt"!  Yep, I've got a pair of those.  It's funny.  When we lived in the old house the furkids slept together in the family room in the dog bed.  When we moved, they moved in with us.  We had to get a kingsize bed when there were 3 of them and 2 of us!

Patches is the first one to race down the hall at bedtime.  He's there, sitting beside the bed with his tail wagging, waiting for us.  Cocoa takes her time and gets there when she feels like it.  Patches will wait until the first human hits the sheets then it is burrow under and "velcro" to the human...either human!

Cocoa sleeps sidewise in the middle, touching a human on both ends.

Is there no wonder that my Dad, who is 78 and live with us, thinks we are nuts!

In our beds. They have to sleep side ways taking up all the room and we are all at the very edge falling off. :dontknow:

I put in the big bed, because two out of three do.  But pity I can only vote once, instead of once per dog.  Poldie does not usually sleep in the big bed, but prefers his own bed, the recliner, or most often the expensive Nautica duvet cover that Kevin just tosses on the floor.  He is a dog of many beds!

Of course the Big Bed, and I have the stiff neck and back to prove it.  God-forbid I should move and disturb a sleeping woobie.
