Hi all! I need to improve and check in here. 2015 has been a wild year for us.....Dave's MS took a spiral downward this past year and walking mobility is gone.  Lots of changes for us and the house is now completely handicap accessible.  We have a wheelchair accessible van arriving soon....special order.  Duggie went to the Rainbow Bridge on March 13, 2015....he passed naturally in his sleep while in my arms. We were devastated! Within two months, our angel boys (all of them!) guided us to Dachshund Rescue Northwest located in Spokane and we adopted 3 dachshund boys......Tiko is a Black and Tan with gray standard and is about 12 years old; Gus is a red mini and is 7 years old; and Moose is a red tweenie with a mahogany nose and is 2 years old. Hello from Hilde and Darcel in Michigan.  We, also, need to to better about checking in.  This year sure has sped by.  It was a year in which I lost my dad in September and my nephew in Wisc. got engaged.  Hilde turned 7 on the 16th of December, which for me is hard to believe.  Seem like I just got her.  I hope everyone has a great New Year's, and I promise to do better checking in.

Here's a fairly recent picture of my Miss Hildegarde.
Handle every "Situation" like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
tinkle on it and walk away.

Howdy!!!

Hunter and I are still around.  On Ground Hog Day it will 3 full years since I drove through around the lower tip of Lake Michigan through a blizzard to get my new wee master.  There's been no regrets from either of us.
There's nothing like having a dachshund tongue up your nose at 3 a.m.
