My Dachshund will not eat any type of dog food what should I do??

This is not right for a Dachie, they are usually eating machines. Maybe consult your vet and try a different type of food. Did you ever consider making your own food? I made my own food for my Isis because she has bad allergies. Dawn .............if you need receipes please let me know.

Have you tried wetting it down a little with warm water? Or microwaving for a few seconds to heat it up? Or mixing a spoonful of canned food in with kibble to entice? Or adding a few green beans or small bites of raw carrots?

Have her vetted. She might have a problem with her teeth or tummy. Usually a dachshund will eat anything, anytime!

When my Isis had allergies out of season we decided to see if it was food related. My vet and a friend came up with this receipe. You take either lean ground beef or ground chicken is the best. Cook it, boiling is best, add a cup of boiled peas to one package of ground meat and then add six scrabbled eggs. If your Dachie don't eat this, there is definately a problem with the dogs mouth or stomack... At least you will know..
