Porky goes in tomorrow to get his yearly dental /oral tumor check. I'm nervous this year and really don't want to leave him!!! All the tumor signs are present but I haven't seen any. We are praying he only has to lose one tooth this year.  Hopefully I'm super busy at work tomorrow so I don't worry so much. Ill update after we get home tomorrow night.

I know how you feel. Everytime one of mine needs a dental I worry all day. Hoping for good news and no tumor.

There's nothing like having a dachshund tongue up your nose at 3 a.m.

Porky is home. He only got one tooth pulled. There were more tumors,  three that looked very small and just like the ones before that are benign. The fourth tumors was bigger,  black and had an irregular border. Our vet said he is "moderately concerned " about it and is sending it to be tested by an outside lab. Plus Porky has a slight heart murmur and advanced dental disease. The heart murmur is not a huge issue but will need monitored. Best case scenario we go in every six months to get a dental and check for tumors.

Porky is stumbling around from the anesthesia and has a very upset tummy. Since the vet wants the spots where tumors were burned off to stay clean,  Porky cant eat until tomorrow! Pain meds and cuddles prescribed for tonight.
