Sophie needs rays

Our little Sophie is going to need some rays and prayers ongoing. Today we found out that she is in the first stages of kidney disease. She's been on antibiotics for UTI and today she had blood work that showed her creatinine and BUN levels in the bad range. It's early on so we're going to finish this course of antibiotics and then she'll go in for dialysis to get her back to base line then ongoing drugs and prescription food. Of course this is progressive so our aim is to slow its progress to give her maximum quality of life for maximum time. This was quite a blow to us she's 12 and a half so she's definitely a senior but one never expects news like this. We're still a little in shock.

Oh dear. Poor Sophie grrrrrl. Bonnie and I send loads and loads of doxie rays and prayers to the lovely Sophie. We hope she responds to her treatment and gets all better.

Rich, hang in there, Amy is in a similar situation Transitional bladder tumour...............................but intervention does help, she is now 8 months over what is considered her use by date as we call it. they are tough cookies and just need a bit of help sometimes. We will keep the wee girlie in our prayers and thoughts, and mum and dad as I think we need it sometimes more than them.

Rays & Hugs to Sophie she may do better than you think the little dog across the street Ditto has kidney disease on medications at first now going on at least 3 years on her special food. Get better soon Patches ,Buddy & papbouv

So sorry I am late in seeing this - rays for Miss Sophie on the way northeasterly. I am glad the bloodwork gave the vet some clues as to what is going on.
