So so sad.  Sarge, we'll miss you so much.  I'll especially miss your antics with the lawn monster.  I'm sure Duggie will keep the monster in line for you.  I'm sad but happy too that Sarge lived a wonderful life with the best and wonderfullest hooparents.

Love you sweet boy!

I think we all think of the lawn monsters when we think of Sarge. I know they lawn guys will be missing their buddy, too. Your house will seem like it has lost it's mini-master, but I am sure Duggie will step in and try to assume the role.
You gave Sarge the best life a doxie could wish for, and when the time came, sent him to the Bridge knowing he was loved more than any other dog in the world. Try to rest now, love on Duggie, and smile at all the sweet funny memories of Sarge.

So sad to hear this Dee.  Know that I and all  here on this board know the pain you are going through.  I always loved the stories of Sarge and the Monster Mowers, but I know Duggie will keep the tradition alive.  Hugs and prayers coming your way.

So very sorry for your loss. Sarge had a great life, and now he's at the bridge chasing the monster mowers.
How is Duggie doing? I know you guys will miss him    :grouphug2: from Me and Parker   Take care!!!!

It's been a week since my little man went to the Bridge and the house is so quiet and a bit empty without him. I'm still adjusting to the lunch or dinner hour and how quiet it is.  Sarge was my vocal boy when it came to my fixing meals and right under my feet....he let it be known with his barking and talking that he knew I was fixing food.  He chose which mealtime to be vocal at!  Duggie has always been the quiet one......fixing of food isn't high on his agenda of noise making. Duggie is coping and getting use to the being the only doggity.  He is sticking close to me.  He still will look for Sarge at various times......that makes me sad.  I miss seeing Sarge's face along with Duggie in the window when we come home from errands.  Duggie makes sure that he is in the window for us.

I brought Sarge's ashes home last Wednesday.  The vet tech that always cared for Sarge when he went in for his appointments and was with us when he went to the Bridge did a clay paw print of Sarge's paw and also placed some of his fur on it along with his name stamped in the clay.  (I had requested a bit of his fur to keep with his ashes.)  I look at his "fat" paw print and smile at the happy memories.  My boy had big/little fat feet.

Thank you for all your kind and caring thoughts.  They mean a lot to us.
