Dis is Porky Pie and I could use da rays.  I have the sinus infection and upper respiratory wheezers.  I am taking da yucky pink medicine right now (amoxicillin) and da allergy pills (prednisone).  My mama is mean and makes me take da allergy pills in peanut butter, but I been sucking off da peanut butter and spitting out da pills.      Dat pink medicine tastes so icky and I spit it all over da house.   I'm also leaving snot prezzies around the house for my mama and dad.  I coughed up some gunk and left it right by dad's side of da bed so he stepped right in it this morning.  Score one for me!!!   :apls:     We think the mouth tumors are on their way back because I have the breath and my nose is getting all weird again.  My mama is worried, but we have not found any....yet.    Hopefully I get over this junk and don't need the icky medicine anymore.   My mama says she needs "outsmarting" ways to give a stubborn doxie meds.  I can't have the cheese stuff, so she can't hide it in there, pill pockets taste yummy, but I eat around the pill.       And with the liquid medicine she uses a syringe and puts it clear in the back of my cheek, then holds my mouth shut.   I stand there and let it dribble out.   I might start taking it better today cause I feel icky.

Oh nooooo!!!  I don't know who to "poor" first.  Mommy and daddy or Mr. P.  Those allergies of Porky's are sure rotten.  About the pills.  Can you crush them and then put them in pumpkin or some other thing like mashed potatoes?  Can you get the meds in a shot and give him that?  I feel for you.  What a challenge.  Let us know if you find something that will work with him.  Poor little sausage.

The stepping in the gunk reminds me of when I was growing up and we had a little Silky Terrier, who was never reliable in the potty department.  One night I had to get up to pee and my toes hit one of her little mountains.  She didn't make logs.  She made little mounds.  I'll never forget the squish of poop between my toes.  EWWWW  TMI!!!!  :P

Porky, try not to be soooo stubborn and take your medicine so you can get better.

You need to take your medicine so you don't get sicker....I know what I am talking about here.

Porky you need to take your medicine you do not want to get pneumonia something dogs do not do well with I 'm the mean momma I  open the moth shove in the pill in hold the muzzle close rub the nose. Pill goes down they get a treat every once in a great while they spit it out but not very often. Have you got a syringe put it down the side of the mouth on the outside of the teeth hold the muzzle up usually slides down the throat. Does your vet know you are having this much trouble some medications can be flavored at the pharmacy with meat flavors. Might call around to the human pharmacy see if anyone can do that for you of course the vet need to re-write the script. Sometimes people health insurance will pay for the prescriptions too might ask that question too.

I finally decided to take my medicine.  I felt pretty icky last night so I gave in and took that nasty stuff.  We are running air purifiers and a warm mist humidifier in our house 24/7.  I'm still pretty stuffy today and have a runny nose, but MUCH better than last night.    :apls:  My mama took my temp last night and I had a slight fever.  Let me tell you, I did NOT enjoy that!!  We might go to the bet and get some eye drops iffen my eyes get crusty again tonight.  Mama thinks I might have scratched it too much and got an eye infection.    So far, my eyes have been clear today and not itchy.
