Circumstances

I am in need of a temporary home for my gang, for a few weeks to a couple of months. I am going through a divorce and a custody battle and now I am unemployed. I am losing my home and I may need to get into a place quickly that would not allow the dogs. Thank you

We are so very sorry to hear what you and your family - human and dachshunds- are going through. I am not sure we can be of much help from over here in Spain but we will certainly keep prayers and positive rays heading your way.
Your generosity of heart and spirit has given so much happiness to others and by jove you deserve some of the same kindness and practical help yourself now.

I am so sorry to hear about this, Paul. I am sure you have also posted to other boards to which I know you are a member and something should happen to you soon. As you know, I'm way too far to help, but would keep at least a couple if you were close.

Hi Vicki, it's been a long time. Yes I have posted all over and have contacted lots of people to help. I know I have 2 covered but still waiting to hear about another 2. That still leaves 2 more. Thank you for your offer, but yes you are definitely too far away.

Tomorrow the dogs will all be taken to the shelter and adopted out. The 2 handicapped dogs however still need a home. They will be at the shelter for 3 weeks and that is how long I have to find them a home. If not they will have to be put to sleep. If anyone is interersted in adopting Johanna or Pork Chop please let me know.

I want to thank everyone for the many years on this site. I have enjoyed it very much.

Aw, Paul, I'm so sorry to hear this... it breaks my heart. I sure hope the best for you, and am praying that the furkids will find nice homes. This is so heartbreaking. I'm praying for you and the kids.

All the dogs are safe. They will not need to go to the shelter now. Kebo is going to New Jersey, Riley and Willy are going to Ontario Canada, and Buddy, Johanna and Pork Chop are going to Rhode Island. Thank you to all that helped, and special thanks to Lisa and Yolanda.
