If that is the term for it ........
How do I reply to someone who has replied to a post? ....... in other words ... not to the original person who started the thread ..... but to a person who answered/replied  the original post?

Testing to see if this works.  If it does what I want it to, will explain below.  :thinik:

Ok, this is my educated guess......Above and below the "box" where the person has his/her post, there is the icon that says "reply".  In the "box" of the person's post, there is an icon that says "post reply".  When you hit the generic Reply button, you reply to the person who started the thread, below the subject line in your post it will look like this:

SUBJECT

If you use the "Post Reply" button, it replies to the person who wrote that particular post in the thread, but below the subject line it will look like this:

SUBJECT
« Reply to: Ruth in MT»

If you look at my above post, this is where I used the "Post Reply" button.

I hope this makes sense.  Drew, if I don't have this right, please correct me!  :dontknow:

If you have quick reply activated to show, then you don't see the "post reply" option anymore.....just the reply at the top and bottom of the thread, and also the quick reply screen segment.

Try to change your options under your profile/look and layout preferences/ Select "don't show at all" next to the use quick reply option.

Try that and see if the buttons show up with in the thread to post to individual people's posts...
