 customs probably would not like it.
Chicken or probably any meat jerky. I cut it thin, easier if its semi frozen, patted dry with kitchen paper and laid it out in one layer on a oven rack with kitchen paper under it and put the oven on the lowest  setting with me its 50C fan forced it takes about 4 hours. The net research said leave oven door ajar the first batch I did and it did not make any diffrence I think due to the fan forced. the main thing is all cut even so the dry time is the same.
The crackles just banged out chicken fillets (nos skin lean) so I could see through them and cooked them on 180 C till brown and crunchie............I even like them...........I know beau stealing the kids treats. I'll try it with Knagaroo next.
As I said Amy sat with her nose at the vent. They only get two bits of trat at bed time or if we leave, and I think she was thinking no crunch Iz missin out on sumffin.

Do you have a food dehydrator?  That's what my mom always used to make her jerky in.  Those treats sound very tasty, I'll have to make some for Porky.

Yes I do happen to have a food dehydrator but had not thought of doing chicken in it will have to wait until chicken is on sale last chicken breast I bought for us was $ 6.48. Two weeks ago the chicken breast were $4.88 need a crystal ball and a freezer Ha,Ha

Roberta

yes I'm thinking of buying a dehyrator, if its regular you do lowest temp and leave the door slightly ajar so you don't get the moisture left in the chamber.
As for Chicken breasts being $6.48 normally send it here its $12 roughly on special $9 our dollar is about the same as yours bar a cent or two.
