Just to recap the green bean diet: :police:

Use either canned or frozen. No-salt is healthier. :read2:

Substitute about 1/4 of regular food with green beans.  :chef:

No need to cook or puree them. You can just spoon them in. If you want, you can mix them into the food. :tongue8:

When dinner is done, (15 minutes MAXIMUM) the food bowl is PUT AWAY until the next feeding time. :feedme:

That is good advice Aunt K.

So I got another diet question, what's up with all the PASTA in the Halo Spot's Stew? White pasta is not good for puppers right? There is a lot of it in there, I've written them twice and no response,  :cussing: I've tried several foods and this is the only one that I can mix in with her prescription food that agrees with her tummy, and it has also put a few needed ounces on her. So I hate to change again but I'm freakin' about the pasta, anyone know what the reasoning behind pasta in canned food could be? We need to call Ellen!!!!

Hmmm. . .  :thinik:

Dear Campbell's Soup:
What's up with the 900 mg of sodium in your canned soups? Do you get a kickback for every prescription written for blood pressure medication? I just wanna know, is all. Sincerely DeeDee :dontknow:

Dear DeeDee:
What's up with your interest in sodium? You getting a kickback on every jar of pablum those old folks in the nursing home are eating? Don't you old people live long enough? There's not enough young folks to pay for you all to keep living so long. :ticked:

We're referring your name to the Arizona Health Reform Death Panel. Now buzz off. Sincerely Mr. Campbell

:meme: 1) Always use REAL beans - plastic beans are non-digestible.

2) Time spent buying, snapping, rinsing, blanching beans is put to better use sitting on the couch snuggling the Chunky Monkey.

3)Aforementioned Chunky will not care about gourmet, organic home-cooked beans - they will be scarfed down b/4 their delicious taste is even noticed.

4) Chunky WILL however appreciate snuggle time with harried love-slave, er, owner.

LOL if there is more salt in this food than it says, Ellen really IS gonna hear from me! I am a freak about low salt for Ms H.

Zuzu you are a very good girl to eat your beans raw! Les I got some cylindrical ice trays and when it's warm out I make Hallie some ice cylindar cubes with filtered water and put in a couple of peas, blueberries and sometimes a cooked carrot chunk, etc in the ice cube. It makes a good low cal healthy treat that takes them a while to finish off.
