Duggie is 8 years old today!!

Today is Duggie's 8th barkday! He came to live with us on December 12, 2007 and he had just turned 5 years old. He is taking it easy today, snuggling with his brudder, Sarge! They received a special lunch today and are now both napping together, side by side on their pillows/blankies. He is getting a bit of extra attention today since he had to go to the vet to get two booster shots....one in each hip! All the vet techs and doctors gave him lots of extra love and snuggles today since Mom was mean and made him go to the doktor on his birthday!! All of them at the vet clinic just LOVE my boys....they even asked if Sarge came to so he could get some loves! Sarge said no way, I'm stayin' home with Dad!!

You're kidding me, he's 8???? And you've had him THREE years??????????? Wow that went by way too fast. He's such a handsome and very lucky boy who has the best family in the world, Happy Birthday Duggie if you and Penny lived closer you could have went out on the town for your 8th birthdays!

Seriously, that was my reaction too. Time is absolutely FLYING! Congrats and happy barkday to Duggie!

dis is Parker: Happy barkday Duggie. I hopes you get lots of goodies and make sures you don't gets short changed in two weeks when da Santa Paws comes. Hides your barkday pressies so Santa don't fink you has too much. Momma sent her cards today and she sent ones to you.

Parker, I had a pretty good day except for the trip to the doctor! I've been gettin' lots of loves from Mom and Dad......I've been givin' them da L@@K. Mom says that Santa Paws will be good to both Sarge and I so I don't think I have to worry about that. Mom and Dad don't have any pressies wrapped yet so there aren't any real packages under the tree yet! But I was wantin' to use the base of the tree for a back scratcher so Mom put some empty boxes that have Christmas pictures on them......well both Sarge and I have been checkin' them out......we keep poppin' da lids off of them lookin' for treats or some kind of present! So far, they've been empty every time we knock the lids off! Mom sezs iffen we keep doin that, that when the real pressies are under the tree, she may have to put a corral around da tree to keep us out!! That's not fair!!

Mom sent all her cards out today too! After my trip to the doctor, she brought me home and then left again to go to the Post Office to mail all da cards......we sents you one too! Well, it's time for a nap! See ya later!!

We cannot believe you have had Duggie so long already, it feels like yesterday, congratulations to you all on his 8th and many happy, healthy returns.
It is rather rotten having vet torture on one's birthday so either super-duper extra pressies and treats or a whole extra birthday ( without extra age) for extra spoiling. You decide, dear Duggie, have fun!
