Doggy Shuttle Needed!

We have an obstacle to overcome. Some of you will remember Sandra from the original doxie board - she had 3 doxies, Jackson, Chip, and Sam. Her daughter Britaini is now grown up, married - has FIVE doxies (including Jackson who she took when she left home) and is going to have a baby in March. She has to give up one (or more) of her dogs. I have a friend here in Virginia Beach that wants the dog Britaini is going to give up but we have to find a way to get Max from Alabama (Mobile area) to Virginia Beach - or close. Its too hot to ship him, and we wouldn't do that anyway.

The longer we procrastinate the harder it is going to be for Britaini to let Max go - and pregnancy hormones sure don't help. Does anyone have ideas?

I was just thinking about Sandra earlier this week. I remember when they had all the flooding and she lost a lot of her supplies she used to make dachshund stuff (beds and clothes, I think). Depending on when the transport is and the direction, if it coincides with a weekend Meg is in Greenville, SC or a time when we are going to go to the Rock Hill, SC/Charlotte, NC area, we might be able to help. That would at least help with 100 miles of the trip. Her weekends are busy, so I can't make any promises.

Friday October 1st I'm leaving Cleveland Tennessee (near Chattanooga) and driving to Manasas Virgina for the Mid-Atlantic Dachshund fest.

If you can get the dog to Cleveland TN, I can get it to Manasas VA, or some point along the line. If you can get her to me sometime this week, I'll care for her until I leave for VA

Wish I was closer to help.... I am at a loss, but isn't there a place to post this information? My brain can't think of it at all
