When I stopped at Angel barkary to get another harness for Taffy,  the owner asked me if I knew anyone who wanted a female mini-doxy, longhair red, 10 months old.  Her owners are leaving for North Florida and will not be taking her with them.  She will be offered for free.  Of course, those words send a chill down your back.

I told the owner that if it comes it that, please let me know, and I would take her for fostering, but PLEASE do not let them offer her for free to the public, because you know what will happen.  I do not want another pup. We also have a house full of bird to consider.   I know it is selfish, but I love having Taffy so close to me, and don't want to bring another dog into our home for forever.  But if necessary, I will foster this baby.  The store owner says she is very petite, and a sweet dog.

I live in Ft. Myers, Fl.  I will put info in my profile so you can get in touch with me, or leave a message here.  This baby needs a home now, the owners are leaving very soon.

Whenever I see a city/town preceded by the word "FT" my first thought is it's a military town.  I know that's not always the case, but I thought I'd share this site that states it will assist those in fostering pets of deployed soldiers.  I've not used this nor have I known anyone who has, but the site seems legitimate.  At some point I'll probably inquire about using it if/when deployed myself.

Mack, sorry I gave you a bad number...typo.  Check your email.  The owners will not just give her away to anyone - they want a good home...hurray for them!!!  Hoping to hear from them on Saturday.
