dis is Parker: I caught my paw on a rusty old nail when I was rummaging frew da wood pile. (I is not allowed in da woodpile, but I squeezed frew da fence). Anyways Momma tooks me to dat dr's to have it checked out. Da dr said it's just a scwatch. WRONG
dis is NO scwatch. It should of taken 40 stitches, not jus an ol cleanin an bandage.
dis DR is terrible......he didn't tell my Momma dat I need boiled chicken, steak, eggies and cheese to help me heal.
He also didn't tell Momma to knock off da swimmin lessons.
He also didn't tell Momma dat I need a new stuffy ebery day!
He also didn't tell da Momma dat I need more den 2 walkies a day. Maybe 5 or six would be bery nice, and the puppy park ebery morning and night.
I fink I need a new dr, and a new Momma.
If Momma fed me more, I wouldn't be able to squeeze frew da fence.
dis is all her fault, but da only smpathy I is getting is a tweet, and snuggle and one wittle we stuffie. Oh an my brudder came to visit me, oh and I got to sit on Daddy's knee, oh and I also got an eggie for da supper.
I needs rescuin!

Poor baby, that rusty nail is awfully dangerous, your paw must be hurting a lot.  You obviously need intensive cuddling, frequent treats and special spoiling in huge doses.  That woodpile should not have been within your reach either and the fact you are so skinny you could get through the fence is shocking. 
Your Dr. sounds like ours, way too tough and not well trained at all.  Not fit for a dachshund, that´s for sure.  Your Mum, on the other hand, sounds like she is trying really, really hard.  Have patience with her, human Mums can take a while to wheedle round properly too, practice the look on her a bit more and limp on your poorly pawsie.  Get well soon though!

Dear baby Parker, I'm so glad that you are alright.  Nails can be real nasty.  Now about working it, sounds like you did a bit of good working to get some treats and a stuffy.  Be thankful for every day and for a wonderful mommy, okay dude?

Can dogs get Tetanus if it was a rusty nail you be careful do not want to get an infection.Yes does sound like you need to be rescued maybe you coulds put an ad in the newspaper of all that you wants in a home.Gets Well soon Patches & Buddy
