No wonder my newest guy is a little terror!!!  His age has been determined to be 14 months old......he is still in puppy stage heading for the terrible two's!  Initially the doc thought his age to be between 1 and 3, closer to 3.....yeah, right!  He is 14 months as determined by the vet's office and checking his teeth more closely!  So with the furkids, we have an 11 year old, a 7 year old, and a 14 month old.......With the human kids, we have a 26 year old (son in law), 25 year old daughter, 22 year old son, and a 19 year old son..........I'm tired now....I think I'll go take a nap!

That probably explains some of the behaviors between Earl and Duggie as Earl is jockeying for position in the pack.   Sargey, being the senior has likely "laid down the law" with Earl.   Earl may eventually try his luck to gain ascendancy over Sargey, particularly as the Sarge heads into senior weinerdom and may not have the fight that he has right now.

Rudy-angel really didn't have terrible twos.  By the time he was a year old, he had established himself as the alpha over Max-angel.   With the pack order established, Rudy's behavior was fairly typical.   I didn't own the Zs when they were in their twos, but while Zeke had established himself as the alpha (Zora is very submissive!) physically and when they are out and abot, even to this day, he will defer to Zora.

The one unique aspect of the Rudy & Max's relationship was that if Rudy was ailing, Max would assume the alpha role, much like a second string quarterback in a football game.  Once Rudy was feeling better, Max would return to being subservient to him.

Parker will be 3 this June. When do the terrible twos end. He is still a ball of energy. The breeder told me wieners are couch potatos. Ya, right.

:nono: Be careful - he could be like my son D'Niel, who just turned 20 in January and has the emotions and maturity of a 10-year-old!

And yes, thank the Lord, I survived his teenage years! :chairfall:

...and Max was nearly as old as Blanda was the last time he had to be alpha at age 16.

Don't forget Blanda was the Raider's kicker, too.  Had Blanda played one more year, he would have gone to the Super Bowl, and easily been the oldest player to ever play in one at age 49, easily eclipsing Matt Stover who just set the record at 42 years old...like 42 is supposed to be old!

Whoa! No wonder he's so rambunctious...he has a LOT of growing up left to do! Sure does make you wonder about his story doesn't it.
