Dauber goes to the Bridge.....another painful loss...

Many of you remember Chrissie and Bruce that live in Washington state.  Several months ago, they lost their Cody and I just received an e-mail from Chrissie...they have lost their Dauber as well.  Here is her post:

We lost Dauber yesterday to kidney failure.  He was 15 ½ years old and had lived a long and wonderful life.  We think he got sick and old after we lost Cody.  He kept looking for Cody and cried and cried and our hearts would break every time we heard him.  Losing two dogs in two months is too much for Bruce and I to take and we are devastated to say the least.  No more dogs for us for a long time, it’s too painful. 

We will always be dachshund lovers and will cherish the five that we’ve had the privilege of loving and getting their love in return.

Our hearts go out to Chrissie, Bruce and their family.  God bless them all and God speed to Dauber and love to Cody who will be waiting for him up there at the Bridge, seems they loved each other so much they couldn´t stand to be apart, poor little sweeties.  That´s a gorgeous picture of the two handsome little guys.

Very sorry for your great loss so close together but it is a wonderful tribute to the kind of Dachshund parents you are for them both to live so long.  I hope you will reconsider your thoughts on not having these wonderful little Fur kids in your lives.May Dauber RIP at the bridge with his buddy Cody they now play and run together until you all meet again.They are happy they would want you to also be happy.There are so many Fur Kids in need of kind & loving parents as you seem to be.Hugs to you .Papbouv
