 The other month I don't know if I mentioned it but Huon got out of  fenced paddocks at night, we never worked out where, so we  all assumed it was a one off.
Well last night at about 11pm we had just  runed the light out and we heard a noise, nothing unusual as we get foxes etc, but after the last time we got up and looked,  nothing Nick thought he heard horsie snorts, but they sometimes sleep up here. Well in the moonlight I noticed on of my plants on the verandah was pulled out. So got the torch and found only Lallan in the paddock. Walked outside up to our neighbors , no Huon.Nick wanted to go to bed but I said I could not sleep till I found out if Huon was in the paddock. Sorry to say no photos, picture long t-shirt nightie, sweat shirt, roman sandals and a torch. walked half way over the paddock and there on the other side of the fence was boozoo. Walked back to the house could not remember where I put the holter, got some rope and  a bucket ( if you think Dachies do anything for food, think again)
walked back along to the neighbors and called for him and a rather sheepish clydie was led back to our place. Nick went and got Jane and she walked Lallan him down to his round yard f or the night.
Jane was impressed that he stood for me, but I remembered what she told me the other day putting the saddles on you tell them to stand, he did get a few carrots out of it, and we are replacing our front fence.
Meanwhile our pair and Janes slept through it all.

You seem to have the most interesting nighttime adventures! It's a good thing you are retired or you would be exhausted when you went to work in the mornings!
He is beautiful/handsome. I couldn't stay mad at him, either!
