Tofu needs healing doxie rays...........................

I forgot to post this a while ago when I posted about Kelly. Saturday night Tofu had a seizure and was acting funny afterward. He was panting and just not himself. Sunday wasn't any better but I just couldn't put my finger on what was wrong. Then I was petting him and touched a spot on his back and he got up and moved. Now this dog thinks if you are within touching distance you should be petting him so I knew that was odd. Off the the vet we went yesterday afternoon and he thinks he tweaked his back during the seizure. He says that it happens So he's now on muscle relaxers and pain meds and on crate rest.  This is my worst patient and to beat all the husband is sick as well. Frank tried to stay home in bed this morning and Tofu would not stop barking. I had ran to the store to get Frank meds and went I got back home Frank had Tofu on the bed with him in his crate and he was still barking. So I told Frank go back to bed and I would take Tofu to work with me. I get to work and Tofu is crated at my feet and will not stop barking so.......I clean off my desk and put him up there. This made him happy. So then about lunch time Frank shows up and says the dogs keep barking and he can't sleep. I told him he should have let them in the bedroom and they would have went back to bed and all would have been happy. Anyway please send some rays our way we really can't afford a back surgery right now.

Many, many healing rays and prayers are on their way to Tofu....praying the crate rest and meds do the trick!!   I am surprised the Vet did not prescribe tramadol for pain and dexamethasone as an anti-inflammatory?

Oh goodness!  I hope his back turns out to be okay.  One thing I thought of is he may have simply pulled a muscle during his seizure.   :xfinger:  At least I'm praying that's al it is.  Please keep up posted.  We're sending up prayers for all of you!!

Oh my gosh, poor Tofu.  And poor daddy and YOU!  My dogs are very good about curling up on the couch or bed with me when I am sick.  I hope yours will relax and do the same.

Rays for Tofu are headed your way!  I know what you mean about the surgery - it has only been the last few months that I feel I am not on a really restricted budget, since many debts have now been paid off.

Just wish the hubby's would listen to what we tell them sometimes.

Mine still insists that they must bark as much at me all the time ( someone always gave them a treat to shut them up and now Zack is too confused to learn it different). I say no they don't but he doesn't believe me.

Hope Tofu won't need the surgery either.

Thanks Everyone for the rays I think they are helping Tofu is a little better today although not happy with having to come to work with mom. Frank on the other hand is still sick. But he was out of bed and on the couch when I went home and checked on him a bit ago.
