Tommie's gotcha day

Tommie came to me on 26 November 1999, he was about 8 months old.  The SPCA picked him up roaming the streets on his own.  The first time I saw him, he was in a fenced area at the local SPCA.  I walked up to him where he was sitting on his own.  He rolled over and peed all over the place, me too.  I picked up his wet, stinking little body and held him close.  He rested his head on my shoulder and uttered a groan.  His whole body was shivering.   He went home with me.  He sat on my lap the whole time while drive, shivering and looking at me with a very insecure look.   At home I kept him away from Simson and Jessie.  I gave him a nice bath and some food.  Hy gulped it down and when he settled down I let the other 2 came near to meet him.  Everything was OK but Tommie was very insecure.  Today, 6 years later, he is the king of the house, a smart boy with lotsa attitude and a huge heart full of love

Sam here - Hey Tommie wish we didn't live so far apart cuz we could celebrate together the 26th is my birfday.  And I got my present early - my forever momma.  She cme to me when I was 7 years old, but she is the bestest ever.  Hope you have a great gotcha day.

Happy Gotcha Day Tommie!   If I looked a the picture of him investigating the TV very quickly, I'd swear it was Rudy.   They have different faces, but the trunk coloring is identical.  Wishing Tommie many, many, many more happy Gotcha Days!
