I have noticed a slight change.  When I come home, I still hear barking which probably starts when Ozzy hears the garage door.  But, I have noticed he is no longer scratching frantically at the crate door, nor does he run around like crazy when I do let him out.  He also settles down more quickly than before.

So, I'm guessing it is doing him some good.

Being apart from us is about the only thing that "scares" him.  Thunder does not bother him at all, but sudden loud noises inside the house will scare him.  I also think he knows when hubby and I are having a "discussion."  But, overall, he seems to be a pretty mellow dog.

I am glad Ozzy is doing better. But keep in mind he does need to practice being only.
We had a Jack Russell, and when the kids were fighting he always went crazy at the one that started it. It made things real easy when I had to discipline. Whoever Eddie was barking at was the one in trouble.
Parker can also sense tension, but not to that extreme. But he does start to pace a bit.

it must be the valerian.  This herb is used for humans, but man, it smells worse than anything a dawg ever rolled in.
HEY!  mebbe that's why it works.  Good for you and Ozzy!  This will help him build confidence.  He will learn: "I was calm, nothing happened!" and next he'll be calm on his own. :apls:
