Jethro....with heavy heart...

With heavy heart, I come to tell you that Jethro has gone to the Bridge today. His mommy was picking him up to take him for his consult to schedule surgery, probably tomorrow. She found him, his body had just given up. He had been puny for a couple days, and normally shots from the dr. helped, this time they didn't. His mom is devastated, as all of us who had the pure joy of meeting him are. Thank you to those who donated to help him. He really was a special little boy. Godspeed Captain Jethro Monkeypants

Oh no....so much sadness with Frida and now this. I am so sorry I know his Mom put up such a fight for him. Sweet little boy. It's just not fair.

Tommorow I go to pick up another rescue dashshund at the pound.

Maybe I'll name him after Jethro in honor of this little guy?

I think it would be a wonderful thing. What an honor to be named after one who fought as hard as Jethro did and was loved so much.
I am so sorry for the loss of Jethro, especially when he was so close to having surgery. The last couple of weeks have been tough around the house and the loss of Frida and now Jethro seem even harder than most. Hopefully, Porky will feel better soon and have some funny stories that will be sure to leave me laughing.

I am so very very sorry to hear about Jethro's passing. How tragic when this baby was so close to having his surgery. God-Speed sweet Jethro. Just tragic......Many prayers to Jethro's family and those who knew him so well.

Props to ya for even trying to save this dog. Most people would have thrown in the towel, but not you, no way, no how. You must be a fighter like Jethro. In time the pain will ease and you'll pick yourself up and start all over again, thats what fighters do. Welcome to the club. Fight Club, there are no loosers, just fighters!
