Da wheezers came fer a visit....

Groan......      Mama sez its dat time of year agin.    I waked up at 2:30 am wif da wheezers.    I panicked and daddy had to rub my neck to calm me down.  It was so scawy when I couldn't catch my breaf!!   :crazyeyes:   Abter it was done mama held me and we cwied.    Den she held me till I fell back asweep.     I waked up agin at 5:30am wif more wheezers so mama had to take me to da docktor.    We waited till seben because da animal hostibal was pwetty busy.   

Da docktor took one look at me and said...."weeds!"    Whateber dat means??     Does dat mean I'm sick wif da weeds??????   I didn't know dat was a disease?           He gibbed me a shot and told mama to take me home and keep inside as much as possible.  Also he said to close da windows and keep da air on.   Right abter he telled mama all dat, I got da wheezers agin  real bad.     Dey were so bad I pooked on da docktor and his helper.        I felt really bad and tried to clean up da lady's arm.  She kept telling me "No sweetie, leave it."    Da docktor den telled mama to gib me some of dat yucko benedryl if i wheezeded agin today.   Da onwy good part about seeing da docktor, was he gibbed me a tweat.       

When we got home I started da wheezers agin!!!!!     :crazyeyes:   I got pook on my bed so mama put it in a bag till we can go to da laundry room.        I'm gettng spoilt real good, but I jus wanna feel bedda.    I taked my pill like a good boy.  I usually spit it out, but I didn't feel like it today.     Now, i'm going to go take a nap.  Dat shot made me sleepy.     I jus' hope tomorrow is bedda!!

     I feel for you.  I just went through 6 weeks of coughing and weezing and reverse sneezes.  Not fun.  The Vet finally decided on allergies for me too.  Last week they took X-rays.  They gave me Prednisone  (MaMa not happy about that)  but  now I feel much BETTER.  I hope you feel better soon.

Poor little guy. Hallie has allergies to weeds, trees and grasses too but she just gets itchy she never wheezes or has runny eyes or anything. That has to be hard to watch too good thing you got him into the doc so fast. Hope he's feeling a lot better now!

Poor PorkyPie!!  We know how it is buddy...  Shanelle is the same way this year, she has an appointment with a specialist next Tuesday.  I am scared that her allergies will trigger her asthma...  UGH!!  Right now she is in the shower to get some steam to try & help her breathing..  I may be headed to the hospital with her tonight..   We hope you feel better soon..  EmmyLou sends kisses your way..   Hugs & rays...

Thanks for all the rays!!!   Porky did pretty well yesterday afternoon, even when the farmer was cutting his hay in the field next to our apartments.      He acted more peppy and more like himself.   Then about midnight, he started the wheezing again.         We took him in right away, since we have the luxury of having our vet at an animal hospital.     :apls:   The vet said it can take a few days for the shot to work and suggested we try another dose of benedryl.     Also Porky's tummy was growling since he didn't keep much down yesterday, so he got a midnght snack when we got home.   Then we went back to bed and Porky slept great!!!    This morning he was wheezing some more, but nothing as bad as yesterday.   Also he seems to want to "hide out", so I know he feels awful.   We're hoping for an early winter.      We LOVE summer, but our allergies don't.     

I'm sorry to hear about Shanelle's allergies.  I have them too so I can relate to how she feels.    I took the immunity shots and they seemed to help me.  I need to get back on them now that wehave health insurance again.

I am sorry to hear you are on that yucky Prednisone!!!   Porky had to take that last year when hs allergies were bad, so that's our next step.         He did great on it, the only thing I noticed was that he was sleepier and a little grumpy on that medicine.  But at least he could sleep and quit being so itchy.   I hope your allergies get better soon!!!!
