Just a quick hello,

I have been assiting with helping and finding homes for resuce dogs for several years and currently have 3 that are home with us for good. One is a Doxy and another is a doxy mix. Because one is getting older I thought I should keep my ear to the ground in the event I could have space for another little one needing a home in the future (our little guy would want that I'm sure). They all came to us in need with poor social skills and it took a while for them to understand they were finally safe and now their bad habits are history and they are all perfect loves. I have developed a strong love for the long bodied, short legged imps and although I don't feel comfortable with the breed standards they are held under for show I have grown to admire their spirit and independent nature and find them to be wonderful pets.

Welcome to the Board. I have a 2 year old Parker.
Have you looked into Tiny Paws rescue organization, which is a Canadian organization. They currently have two doxies (or they did a few weeks ago) available. They are a mother and son, a little older. I met them at Weinerfest in Thamesford, and they really are lovely dogs. They are a package deal. Tiny Paws has a website.

Thank you for the warm welcomes, we also have a "Buddy " who is the doxy tibetin terrier mix, a stocky bearded wonder who it too smart for his human family, a real majician for getting into things,

if he was tall enough he would have found his way into the fridge by now!

Welcome! So glad you found us. I am Cheryl and I am owned and loved by Zoe and Winston, two red smooth tweenies and Sheba, an Australian Shepherd mix. We live in Cincinnati, Ohio. Very nice pictures!!! We just love pictures
