Brekke is 8 today! 7/5/09

She shares a birthday with my beloved Heidi-Angel, my first California dachshund (1986-2001). Heidi passed just a few short weeks before her 15th birthday, and when I first saw Brekke's puppy picture, I realized her birthdate was the same!

She is already snoozing on the tile in the hallway, keeping me in sight. She (and Robinton) had a breakfast of scrambled eggies and a dog biscuit... a trip to PetSmart or PetCo is surely in her future, although she may think the new to us puppers are her special gift!

Happy barkday Brekke. It hardly seems like 7 years since I saw you at the bow-wow. And those new comers ARE your special toys, so be nice to them.

Well, Aunties and Uncas, I have had a splendid day, so far. I got a little bite of Hebrew National kosher hot dog for an unexpected lunchtime treat - that's my momma's favorite kind, and then for dinner, I had the usual kibble, vitamins, chicken broth, little spoonful of canned, and then, some real chicken on my food. I know there is a greenie waiting for me - the new kind, and I already helped pick out my favorite apple biscuits at PetSmart, and my sister- and brother-to-be got some new metal food dishes - just in case theirs don't meet Momma's approval - we have to have glass, metal, or ceramic around here. I think they got a new toy each, too, 'cause I sure know I didn't get the ones in the bag below my apple treats! Thanks for all the barkday wishes!
