A few years I planted some red raspberry canes a friend gave me.  I have pretty much ignored them and the other plants I put in the "temporary" bed, and they all got pretty big.  This year the berries really came in.  I expect about 3 quarts all told.  I was picking them and naturally, Loki was supervising and she said: "Heeeeeeeeeeeeey,   waaaaaaaaaaaaait a minute, you can EAT these?  These are GREAT!! MOM  You've been holding out on me!!!!"  So naturally she thought she would help herself--and dived right in. After only a few minutes of: "oo, ow, ee, that stings, what the? owie, oo oo." she gave up, licked her tail once and casually walked away.   :2funny:  I guess raspberries are way more trouble than strawberries, apples, and mulberries.

Are berries good for puppers? I always worry about everything and the other day Fin got a hold of a strawberry i was cutting and was eating it like it was a steak and i didn't want to take it away, but i didnt know how good they are for him. But i have noticed a few people talking about their berry eating dogs... so i'm guessing its ok?
