Tomadoes....

Man, we been so busy I haben't had time to let eberybody know wez okay.    We had wots of tomadoes (whateber dat means) all around our awea ober da weekend.   One of dem was eben on da weadder channel and da today show!    :crazyeyes:   Dat one was about an hour and half fwom where we lib.   Lucky, our town neber got a tomado, but we did get some nasty hail and LOTS of rain!     At one point Fwiday ebening, it was raining sideways!    It was scawy cause it would blow sideways to da east, den switch to da souf, den switch to da west, and den to da norf.   Dere was some sewious wotation in da clouds.     Also when mama was cwosing da window, she could feel da wind sucking her hand to da scween.   

We are in store for more downpours all week, but I fink we are done wif da tomadoes for a few days.   :apls:   You won't hear us compwaining about da rain dough, we need it.  As long as I get da morning to go fer a walk, I'm happy.

How scary!  I am so glad you didn't get any Tomadoes in your town....we have been so busy around the house, I haven't watched much TV at all and had no idea the weather was so bad where you are!!  Hopefully the bad weather will be over for you for a long long time!!!  Take Care!!

Parker here: we had some weal bad weather here in da Canada. No Tomadoes but lightning hit my house. I was weal scarred. Den da powers went out, and our tvs, computer, wii console and da hot tubs don't works no more. Momma is gettin it sorted out wif da insurance company. Dt was last Friday. I sweep under da covers now, inbetween my Momma and Daddy. Dey rub my backs when da funder happens. Momma says we is safe in da house.

Hey Porky, Dis is Oscy Sanders, sole male wiener dog and therefore protector of dis here family.  Sometimes we get dem tomadoe warnings but so far I have not had to act in da swift and skilled manner in which I's been twained. Dat is to say dat I bark at da girls and den run as qwickly as canninely possible under da big bed.  I also find dat pwacticing dis skill during da thunderstorms is worthwhile as well!
I'm sure dat you, Porkie Pie are a good pwotector of your family like me but I am happy dat you did not have to speriance da tomadoe!

I been in dese tomadoe fings lots of times.  Dey are always scawy!!!    Usually, I can tell my mama afore da siwens go off.  I get real fwantic and beg to go in my cwate.  Den abter I'm safe in dere, mama, daddy and I takes shelter.  My mama is smart and puts and card on my collar wif all da information about me.   Dat way iffen wez would get separated, people could know to take me to my vet and dey would call my gwammy.    I don't like wearing dat fing cause it bugs me, but mama sez I hafta iffen wez gots a warning.    Fanks for da idea bout hiding unda da big bed!   I'll twy dat when wez gets more funder.

Dats scawy stuff man!!    :crazyeyes:  I'm gwad all of you were safe.   My mama sez dats why we should neber neber sleep by da cords or hab anyfing pluggeded in during a funder storm.   I hope you can wepwace all your kewl stuff wifout too much hassle.   Also I hope dat you don't get anymore scawy storms.

Tomadoes aren't bad they are good! They have lots o' lycopene...and are tasty with a bit of dill yogurt!
We are happy you are all OK though that would scare our pants off mom sez...

I'm glad you and your mama are a-okay after the scary tomato attack!  We've had some gnarly unruly weather here too; but my mom is a crazy "weather nerd" and was very excited about it.  She kept looking out the windows and making appreciative noises and babbling about radar echoes and downdrafts or something - who knows?  Silly mom.  Doesn't she recognize the presence of DANGER and PERIL?  Clearly she is not as sensitive to these things as a well-trained guard Dachshund like me.  *sniff*

Luck for us, the worst of the storms and twisters were on the other side of our city - otherwise I'd have had to take charge and hustle her into the bathroom to hide like sane people do!

Scootr I'm with your mom I love storms especially those with lots of thunder and lightening - wind not so much.  Once when Eddie Angel was small we had a really bad storm and I took him and the kitties into the bathroom until it blew over, the whole time Eddie kept saying,

"Mom its just a little rain."

It's the truth!  I have seen the same picture Leslie posted somewhere in a book about the making of the movie, and I was crushed to find out Toto should have been the "most favored" breed!  (Well, to us, anyhow!)
