She has never been all that vocal and even with this trick she usually doesn't bark this long but there was a potato baking in the microwave behind me so she was cheering it on.  :thumb: She also has to go into the "play bow" when she barks. I just need to learn to keep my mouth shut LOL I sound like an idiot...Hallie and I play loud. A few times now that she learned this trick, she'll walk up to someone and give them a big BARK...usually if they are eating something.

ROTFL! I know...I'm getting reckless in my old age! 
Besides the always anticipated  daily Ensure, I'm only able to eat a handful of things and one is the guts of a baked potato so we take our lives in our hands every couple of days or so and fire up the microwave. (is it supposed to turn on the oven fan after so many minutes?? What's up with that?? It always scares the c*** outta me I dial "9-1" and wait to see what happens). I think that's why Hallie gets so excited for the potatoes...there is rarely food in the house anymore.

Wow good girl Hallie, if you do not really like the smell or taste of the Ensure you might try Boost or Carnation instant breakfast  always found that the patients in the hospital liked those two better. If you like Ensure good for you Ensure & Baked potatoes what a interesting  meal combo. I was hoping you would be doing better now will send you some Rays to feel better. Papbouv

Thanks Papbouv I am pretty sick of all of them lol, I do get chocolate boost "plus" once in a while but I can get a big case of vanilla ensure plus at costco for almost half the price as I can in regular stores so I try to drink mostly that (it's expensive dang stuff!) but I do get the boost when I can find a coupon for variety. They are so thick and sickeningly sweet they don't set well! I have not tried carnation I will look for that. I have cancelled all of the tests and whatnot, it's obvious no one knows what this is for sure and even if they do figure it out there won't be much they can do except a drug from Canada they were going to try but you have to get your heart checked out first and monitored...no thanks, I'd rather be a bit more miserable without the drug and here to take care of Hallie than to risk that. Besides they say it doesn't work all that well, and the last time I took a similar drug I ended up in ER. That doesn't fit Hallie and my schedule, being apart like that!  This month is month 10 since this thing hit, funny it was triggered by stress over Hallie's illness and she's doing fine!!  :thumb:

That is sooo cute you got Patches to say I Love You...I love watching dogs do that on AFV. I could get my Sam to do a perfect impression of a cat meow. Hallie's does "monkey noises".

Well, Hallie's "speech" is ever so much prettier than Brekke's, and Robbie sounds so gruff when he barks... oh, btw, they both did the little head tilt as they watched Miss Hallie's performance!

DD - there is a Wal-Mart in your town, isn't there?  Wal-Mart has some drinks like Ensure that come in four- or six-packs (can't remember which!), and the strawberry and chocolate are pretty good.  They aren't too bad, price-wise, either.

The Carnation instant breakfast comes in a can or you can buy the powered form and mix it with milk,when we go to the store on Saturday I usually drink one so I can take my pills. Not sure how good they are for diabetics but at least it is something quick to down. They always say to eat before going to the store.I know they have one for diabetics but they really stink I use to clean the refrigerators at the hospital where they would get dumped over really smelly some of them.The cancer patients would drink the Carnation Instant Breakfast for a boost on their nutrition so know it is one that is good for you.

I will try that Julia! Yes we do have a Wal-Mart (our little town has been getting more stores the last few years). Thanks for the idea, I am waiting for the pepperoni pizza flavor LOL. That was what we had for dinner the night before this stomach thing hit 10 months ago, I had pizza which is my favorite so at least I didnt waste my last meal on something boring like a salad!  :thumb:

THanks Papbouv I will look for Carnation too I have seen that in the past (before this) but hadn't thought about it now because it is in a different part of the store than the ensure type drinks. I'll get some next trip to Safeway! I drink a lot of juice too, I get that V8 that has  a few servings of both vegetables and fruit. There are times now that I can eat more real food (from my short list) but I do think it has been improving some very slowly I still hope I will get over this thing no one knows what will happen with it. So strange.

LOL too funny Hallie led the choir with the kids here! You GO guys!! She doesn't even prick an ear when I play it. I guess my first thought when she was barking should have been, she's telling me the potato is on fire!
