Poo Wars???!

Wow, I never thought our poo problem in our apartment complex would come to this.        People continued to ignore the landlord's warnings about picking up after their dog, so she issued a fine to ALL dog owners...except us.   They all had to pay $50 extra with their rent and attend a special one on one meeting with her.    The only reason we weren't pulled in is she has seen me disposing of the poo immediately.   

While I am thrilled that the neighbors have quickly become more dilligent in their "poo picking"....it seems t have started a war.   I was approached by a neighbor who asked me to sign a petition stating that once they had 70% of the people living here's signatures, they would quit "poo picking" until they saw marked improvement in the cleaning of the laundry facilities, and snow removal.  Many people were pretty upset that we had to be stuck in a 4-5 drifted parking for 3 days.  Many people didn't make it to work until today.         The ones who did, spent hours on Sunday digging out just enough to get out their car.    My husband dug all day long helping three neighbors!   

While I agree that both of those issues should be addressed, I did NOT sign their "petition".  There are other ways to politely ask the landlord to see to fixing those matters.    As far as the "poo picking", I think when there are this many dogs living here, it should be done by everyone.   I really never thought people could be so ridiculous about such a small issue.    We have a man living here who yells at his wife and kids constantly, he is verbally abusive and physically abusive to them, yet...no one is outraged about that?!        To me, that is a WAY bigger issue to get worked up about.     

Sorry for venting about this!!!  I do feel better now though.

Boy you have some dumb neighbors do not they realize very few apartments even allow dogs at all picking poo up is the dog owners responsibility do they think it is the apartment responsibility. I sure hope they do not get mad and say NO DOGS that is very possible.Then everyone would be upset good luck with this problem hope it does not come to a new No DOG policy.

I too hope all this does not end up with a no dog policy.  Vent any time you want....and I agree, the neighbor who abuses his family should have everyone in an uproar.  All the non poo picking up pet owners should be as responsible as you are!
