Papbouv,

Maybe you could try hiding in you bathtub, with some blankets and pillows over you if a tornado comes?  :dontknow: Or if you have a shower stall, that would be even better. It all depends on where in the house your bathroom is located.     We don't have anywhere to hide in our new apartment either, but the neighbor already told us to come to her downstairs apartment if the weather gets bad.   It really scares me that tornado season is starting so early!  Stay safe.

I'm not exactly in tornado alley, but they have been known to touch down here.  The most notable was the year I was pregnant with Elf and one touched down about three blocks from our house!  We were OK but several homes were really torn up/down.

We've had some pretty strong winds like 60 mph gusts and some damaged property in the area but nothing major.  I'm hoping it's done for now, since I've gotten in the bathtub with Elf and the hounds once before when David wasn't home.  That was cramped and not fun and I wasn't even pregnant at the time.

I hope everyone in OK is OK.  I've seen some really scary pics from there this week.  Everyone else take care as well.

We live in upper Indiana and we got 65 miles an hour winds that tore down a tree, pole & wires so we were without electric 9:30pm last night to noon Thursday!!
It was 33* out and it got cold in the house. Whitney wore a sweater and we went down to the basement to start a kerocene heater about 6:00am , we went back up and Whitney couldn't see to come up the stairs cause it was dark and she fell down 7 hard steps. I ran down when I heard her fall, she hurt her hip and was limping today. Poor baby.

Stay safe, ya'll!

Whitney!  Poor baby.  I hope you're feeling better with your hip tomorrow.   Maddie misjudged our back door steps tonight and got a little bruised.  She'll be okay but she wasn't crazy about Bonnie bouncing her tonight and told her so.  We had a little posturing by both girls but nothing serious.  Mommy broke up the tension.
Tornados scare the bejeebers out of me.  I'll take an CA earthquake any day.  Mobile homes NEVER fair well in tornadoes.  Come to think of it, they don't do so hot in earthquakes either.  Oh well.

Nope no bathtub for us have all glass shower doors and a big window so its tiny closets or nothing I would get a Tornado shelter but hubby does not want to spend the monies for one.Have a old house built in the 40's hardly anyone has basements here in Tulsa clay soil.

:thumb: Auntie Karen says an earthquake is an equal opportunity disaster.  We all shake together.  Tornados are too fickle - your house gets flattened and the neighbor's house doesn't even have a leaf out of place!  Go figure! :dontknow:
