This is Odie, a two year old male standard smooth chocolate based red (21 pounds).   I can't imagine how this boy ended up at my local Humane Society, but I pulled him on Friday for SPDR and brought him home with me.  He's in just gorgeous shape, not overweight, nicely muscled, nice short nails (Thank you God!) and clean teeth, and also neutered before he was surrendered.   He's a very nice dog too.  The only thing I've seen is major separation anxiety and a strong desire to kill my cats   :2funny:   Otherwise, he's dog friendly with all sizes of dogs, good with kids since he lived with kids from infant to ten years old and very outgoing and loves to go-fer-a-ride.  In fact, I think he was taken everywhere his owner went, because he seems to think he's entitled to leave whenever I do.

I'm sorry I haven't been around much this week.  I was laid off from my job, so I'm coping with that and haven't felt much like posting.  I'll get myself together soon and I'll be back more often  :thumb:  Miss Millie just started her first season this morning, so that should be interesting

What a handsome guy! Thanks for rescuing him!!  :headbang:

I'm so sorry to hear about losing your job! My dad also just lost his job a couple of weeks ago and it has been very difficult for him and my mom. Hugs headed your way!  :comfort:

Kathleen,

I'm sorry to hear about your job....that seems to be happening to a lot of people that we know.  I retired last June so I don't have that worry but we have a lot of friends who are really concerned about their jobs.

Odie, is a handsome boy!  Thank you for rescuing him.....

Odie is a fine looking fellow!!!
Sorry to hear about your job, I am in the same boat and it isn't a good feeling.

Oh my goodness!  Odie is sooooo handsome!  Unfortunately because so many are losing their jobs, many dogs are ending up at local shelters, because their people just can't care for them anymore.  Now you've lost YOUR job and we're so sorry about that, but look at you!  You've rescued dear Odie and have given him a great home!  My hats off to you!  You're a hero!

odie is adorable...  what a cute little puppy, thank you for taking care of him, and getting him out of that horrible place..  if there is something good about loosing a job (which I know there really isn't) you get more time to spend with odie and that little pupper looks like he would be so much fun to play with!!

My goodness he´s a handsome chap and in beautiful condition.  Sorry we´re so far away because I´d love to have him make up a threesome here in Spain.  Love his expression too, he looks fantastic for 10 years.  What a pity he´s lost his original home, he must be in seventh heaven with you.  Bless you for taking care of him!
