On Dobe Talk they say if you put Preparation H the hemorrhoid cream on the nails the quick will recede quicker. I have yet to try that do not think that would be good for a dog to lick Yuck.Takes awhile for the quick to recede I would wrap her up in a towel like a Burrito and just use the Dermal may take longer but well worth it in the long run.If you do it twice a week they get use to it and the nails get shorter faster lots of treats and praise I just did my Fur Kids today.Papbouv

I just wanted to update everyone on this.

In November, Magpie was in the Everett Shelter, and she was pulled by NOAH, a rescue up north and adopted out, as I had mentioned earlier. As it turns out, she was in the Everett shelter with her daughter and the sire of that daughter. The sire had been adopted earlier that day, and a couple adopted the daughter. They had thought about adopting Magpie at the same time, but it was their first dog and they weren't sure about adopting two, so just took Daisy. The next day is when NOAH took Magpie.

Yesterday, the couple who adopted Daisy was looking around online and spotted Magpie on the Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue site and recognized her instantly. It was serendipity-they weren't even looking for a dog, and they told me that they weren't sure what brought them to the SPDR site. They talked it over and decided that they wanted to bring her home to be reunited with her daughter. They drove from Marysville today (about a 2 1/2 hour drive) with Daisy and met Magpie today. Magpie was a complete brat and wouldn't even let them touch her, but they were not deterred. They will give her all the time she needs to blossom and be happy. They took her home this afternoon, and I couldn't be happier for Magpie. She did recognize Daisy and washed her face. Those girls were incredibly thrilled to see each other.
