Rays Needed For Solomon--Updated 1/17/09

Please send Solly some healing rays. I had to take him into the Vet's this morning, because yesterday he didn't eat or drink anything that I could tell. He'd been vomiting and is very listless. I knew something was really wrong when he didn't want to sleep in the big bed with me.

Just got through talking with the vet tech and she said they have him on fluids, he has vomited a couple of more times, and the vet thought he felt something in Solly's abdomen but the X-rays didn't show anything. They're running blood tests, and will probably do a barrium x-ray this afternoon for a clearer picture of Solly's abdomen. She told me the check back later this afternoon. So please send Solly some good healing rays.

I've talked with the vet this evening. Nothing definite until all the blood work comes back. So far his phosphorous levels are high which usually means kidney problems. He doesn't seem to think there is a blockage, but since he is still vomiting he can't do a barium xray because Solly won't be able to keep it down. So he's keeping him overnite on fluids and I will see him tomorrow. More as I learn it.

Saw the vet this morning. He said that Sol has an infection. He put him on an antibiotic with the fluids. Now we have to try and find out where the infection came from. He will be doing more blood work on Monday, right now he is concerned that it may be Cushings, Thyroid, kidney failure to name a few. We just get to wait and see for now. He's keeping Solly this weekend and I miss him soooooo much. So please keep those WW rays and prayers for my boy, and when I know more I'll let you guys know, too. Thanks a bunch.
